On 1/22/2024 Ron Carter GMC advertised on their website a CPO (certified) 2022 GMC Canyon with only 2700 miles on it for $33,942, I made contact with salesman, Eric Helton and expressed my interest in that v CPO (certified) 2022 GMC Canyon with only 2700 miles on it for $33,942, I made contact with salesman, Eric Helton and expressed my interest in that vehicle for that price. I told him I will be in on 29 January to purchase that vehicle. When I showed up on 1/29/2024 t purchase that vehicle I was being sold for $39,000. When I inquired about the price difference, Helton informed me it was because it was a certified vehicle, and I had to pay the difference for that. I told him it was advertised as a certified vehicle for the 33,492 that I mentioned earlier. He spoke with general sales manager Tony Hanley, Who concurred with him. When I informed him that I was not going to pay that price nor was I willing to pay $2000 for the certification they attempted to bully me into paying that price. I was not happy with the whole situation, nor would I recommend Ron Carter GMC to anyone of my friends or anyone I know based on the shady tactics that I experience that day. I feel that that vehicle should’ve been sold to be for the $33,942.that was advertised. Specifically as a CPO vehicle. Shame on Ron Carter GMC. It should be noted that I ended up purchasing a vehicle for the original purchase price however, it was not given to me as a certified vehicle unless I was wanting to pay an extra $2000 for that certification. Shady, shady shady. More
