I dealt with Ethan while purchasing a used vehicle from Wilde Toyota within the past year and the experience was frustrating and disappointing. After having the vehicle inspected by my mechanic, we discovered a a rear shock leak before purchase, despite the Buyers Guide stating that there were no leaks. Wilde Toyota agreed to fix the issue and I received and IOU slip for the repair. I made it clear that the sale was contingent on the repair and the car was held for a week (although it was promised in a shorter period of time) while the dealership claimed to be fixing it. Two months later, another mechanic told me during a routine oil change that the same issue remained. Since the time of purchase, I had driven roughly 855 miles. I took the vehicle to a second Toyota dealership who inspected the vehicle and confirmed that the same rear shock was leaking, and indicated it appeared that no repair work had been done. They offered to replace the shock, which they did. Ethan was involved in the sale and communication of the alleged repair of my vehicle and my experience with his wasn’t positive. He spoke extremely fast, often in a way that felt like it was a meant to rush or confuse the conversation. When I brought up Wisconsin law and disclosure requirements, he quickly backed off. Ultimately, I was left feeling misled and frustrated based on this experience. I was told my rear shock leak had been fixed, which it was not, and the overall communication was poor. I hope this review services as a warning: do not rely on verbal assurances that your vehicle has been fixed, and be cautious when dealing with management who avoids accountability. More
