It’s really no surprise to anyone that Faris was destined to work for Porsche, given the strong sense of foreshadowing in his early years. His very first word was “car” rather than the usual “mamma” or “dada,” and his childhood bedroom in Cedar Falls, Iowa, was plastered with car posters – Porsches, naturally! After graduating from Notre Dame, Faris spent five years in Italy before moving to Chicago and finally fulfilled his destiny by joining The Porsche Exchange in January 2004. Since working for Porsche, Faris’ passion for the brand has only gotten stronger. He is a respected emeritus member of Porsche Cars North America’s Sales and Marketing Roundtable. When not at The Exchange, Faris enjoys traveling and riding his motorcycles or snowmobile. Sadly, he no longer uses car posters as wallpaper in his bedroom.

After years of frustrating encounters at other dealerships, it’s been a relief to finally find both a dealer and a sales advisor who genuinely care about building long-term relationships. Working with Peter has been, hands down, the best car-buying experience I’ve ever had. He’s a consummate professional: patient, knowledgeable, and someone who actually makes the process fun. We’ve all had those less-than-stellar dealership moments—but Peter has restored my faith that honest, customer-focused salespeople still exist. My overall experience at the Porsche Exchange has been fantastic (shoutout to Faris and Alyssa), and Peter is the anchor that keeps me coming back. I genuinely look forward to the next one. More
