This was my first car purchased from a car dealership. I love my 2020 Kia! I feel so lucky to have such an updated car! I got an amazing deal it was a gently used rental with only 29,000 miles. I purchased a 2019 VW Atlas from Honda of Fort Myers. Just 8 days later the cruise control quit working due to a sensor problem. After taking it to a local dealership I found out that the windshield needed replaced as there had been an aftermarket windshield installed. This windshield caused the sensor to fault which led to my cruise control and lane assist no longer working. Initially when I contacted Honda of Fort Myers they told me they were unaware the windshield had been replaced but would do everything they could to help me out since they sold it to me this way and it was not my fault. However, after several discussions with the salesman who sold me the car, I was informed that Enterprise, the company they purchased the car from, was unwilling to provide them with any compensation therefore they were unable or unwilling to help me out. What a horrible dealer. They got me there because they had a used Kia for a low advertised price, good condition, with low miles. The bad starts when I went to purchase. They add an additional $1700 of dealer fees on top of the price! $700 of it is for putting air in the tires and a $100 tint for 2 windows. Ok, fine... the real price puts it in the high end of market value and its in very good condition. However, the next scam comes when the finance guy tells me my (excellent) credit puts me at 5.5% interest. What? But he can get me a better rate if I buy GAP and a Warranty. What? Also, if I use my credit union, they wouldn’t accept their cashiers check. NICE. Next was after being there 4 grueling hours, after signing, they tell me they only have one key for the car. Really??? $1700 dealer fee doesn’t get you a key? The final punchline was when they brought it around, the tire pressure light was on. The salesman said he checked the pressure and if the light didn’t go out, “take it to a Kia dealer”. Greedy, uncaring, deceitful. Finally, the ONLY reason we purchased the vehicle there was the car itself. More
