After looking almost all over long Island from Queens to Riverhead, and speaking to Yonkers Kia, Smithtown Kia beat them all. With unparalleled service and genuine conversation rather than sales pitches, I truly found the exact place I wanted to buy my Telluride. I went to Northstar Kia in Queens and it felt like the salesperson did not want to even discuss the Telluride with my wife and I and he was even trying to get us in a Seltos after I told him what type of car I have. Why did that matter? Then he told us they are going 9k over MSRP. I kindly told him no thank you and left. I then emailed Yonkers Kia and it was going fine until I told them I lived on long Island and the salesperson told me that she will do a price check and never got back to me. We exchanged about 20 emails back and forth and when the time came to talk about price they completely stopped responding. Completely unprofessional. I had almost given up hope till I walked into Smithtown Kia and started talking to Gerard Rennie. He talked to me with respect, he wasn't trying to sell me anything else besides a telluride. We discussed what exactly I wanted and he told me it would take some time if I order and if I'm ok with that and I told him yes of course I understand. But not once did I feel he was condescending nor was he making a sales pitch. He talked to me like a human being. I respect that. Two and half months later my Telluride came and Gerard contacted me. We discussed everything once again and there were no hidden surprises. Everything was exactly as Gerard had explained the first time we met. For someone wanting to buy it's truly appreciated. Even after discussing the warranty with the Business Manager Jason, it just made the purchase that much more enjoyable. Everyone at Smithtown Kia talks to you like a person. They aren't out to cheat you or give you a scripted pitch. And it's because of this that I highly recommend Smithtown Kia for your next vehicle purchase. And definitely talk to Gerard.
