I have always serviced my old mazda with the dealership. Gifford was my point of contact during the sales process of my cx5. The salespeople and finance people were nice and easy to talk to. They were not pushy, and the dealer only charged one dealer fee (a $399 document fee, which is about average for NJ). Other dealers charge nonsensical destination fees (a scam if it’s a used car), dealer inspection fees, $200 for VIN etching, etc., so it was nice to not get hit with random made-up fees. The finance lady was nice as well and was not pushy on getting an extended warranty. These warranties are usually scams since it covers so few parts and finance people usually receive about half of the price you paid on the extended warranty as a commission ($875 on a $1750 5 yr warranty). Within 20 hours (50 miles of driving) of buying the car, I noticed there was a serious check engine issue, and I was really upset, but the dealership was able to schedule an appointment immediately to fix my car and they provided a similar loaner car for free. The buying process was great because they offered me an interest rate more than a full percentage point lower than I was expecting to get. The mechanics were also extremely nice and did a great job finding me a loaner car at the last minute. The only issues I have is that the mechanics should have done a better job at examining the car before it was sold to me and also, it would have been great if the dealership had better working hours. I wish dealerships were open for longer hours and also on Sundays. Also, it’s a bit annoying how the only person who does body work is only available on Thursdays. More

VIN: JM1BPBJY7M1312336. Sales & finance was outstanding (5 stars)!! Detail dept was HORRIBLE!!! Micro scratches & swirl marks all over hood & other paint! Scratches in windshield! Detailers need training o (5 stars)!! Detail dept was HORRIBLE!!! Micro scratches & swirl marks all over hood & other paint! Scratches in windshield! Detailers need training on how to properly prep a new vehicle or be fired!!! Needed 2 days worth of extra paint prep & paint correction plus was charged an additional fee for this prior to applying paint protection film onto this vehicle!!! Was supposed to be a 4-5hr appointment! I as well as others cars I noticed in lot that were prepped for by detailers for customer pickup, all received shiny cars w/ paint scratches!!!! More

Gifford was polite, professional, friendly, and patient during my hunt for a new car. Provided detailed answers to my questions and was very accommodating in the few days I worked with him. I did not feel like I was being pushed to buy a car, which is important when making an expensive purchase. However he did remain informative about my available options and was helpful during the whole process. I would highly recommend Gifford as a salesperson to anyone looking to purchase a new vehicle at this location. He made the process easy and exciting. More

Gifford was amazing! He came out to the lot when he saw that me and my family were out there for a while and I told him what I was looking for, and he gave me exactly what I wanted! I didn’t even need to l that me and my family were out there for a while and I told him what I was looking for, and he gave me exactly what I wanted! I didn’t even need to look at any other cars because what he showed me was perfect. He wasn’t pushy at all, and didn’t try to upsell me on anything which was great because that showed I could trust him. I was at several dealerships before Mazda and he by far was the best sales person I interacted with. Very pleased with the service from him. More
