I've been shopping for a vehicle to replace my soon-to-be-expired leased Kia. I visited or contacted many dealerships, all staffed by wonderful people who were friendly and efficient. Any one of those dealerships were fully capable of meeting my needs, but none seemed to possess that certain "magic" to close.....but I stopped looking upon visiting Ken Garff Gateway Chevrolet. Here's my story: First, a brief Sunday phone call resulted in a gentleman's agreement as to purchase price and method of financing. The transaction was easy, not because I accepted Graff's price, but because Graff accepted mine...and please be reminded, I was experienced by shopping other dealers and thereby possessed with earned knowledge of the competitive market. In short my offer was reasonably low, but rather than laugh, scoff, and ridicule, my salesperson Gillie Manriquez took my offer as a challenge and made it work...quickly and efficiently. No nonsensical back and forth. Came in Monday to examine the vehicle and close the deal. The car was ready, the test drive was taken, but then I changed my mind from purchase to lease. Not a flinch, wince, twitch, or any other sign of distress. Gillie took my lease offer to the sales manager, Andres("Drew") who made it work; but then the dreaded but obligatory visit to the finance manager. Guess what...almost in-and-out. Easy...no soft or hard pitches, no unwanted or unneeded frilly add-ons. Just straight and easy. I was done in 4 hours, shortest time ever for me. I'm happy. If you visit Ken Graff, I hope you have the same experience I had with Gillie and Drew. More

During my time at the dealership I was misinformed by the sales man over multiple items. He stated to me that certain coverages would be a part of the deal and were not. His elusive nature seemed to also rub sales man over multiple items. He stated to me that certain coverages would be a part of the deal and were not. His elusive nature seemed to also rub off onto the finance manager who as well chose to misinform me. He used his own family story to try to coerce me into sealing the deal. When I asked questions he made me feel very uncomfortable by acting like the deal would be off if I kept asking questions. There was several issues they promised to address with my car after which was all exterior and interior damage. I had to go back after a couple of days and speak to a "manager". John said manager promised to repair the exterior damages and I had to go back and forth at this dealership the next couple of weeks. Just for them to not complete said repairs or with hold their end of the promise to do so. More

Motivated to get me in to buy, since then Communication isn’t very good. I called sales rep “Gilly” the day before to ensure I could get my financing thru my credit union otherwise I was going to bring i isn’t very good. I called sales rep “Gilly” the day before to ensure I could get my financing thru my credit union otherwise I was going to bring in a preapproval. He said he could get the credit union approval done through their process and is more convenient. He never relayed it to finance guy. The app process was terrible via online and didn’t connect through. I had to fill out paperwork. Time consuming to fill out process twice. The finance guy came back with only a GM approval which was high interest rate. He said he never searched any other banks. Got upset when we told him we insisted on another search and it wasn’t our fault he wasn’t told. He said other customers were waiting. We were not going to finish process if he refused which he reluctantly did before we mentioned it. Came back with lower rate but did not get a search from our request. Vehicle Checklist had a paint flaw which was not taken care of. I thought it was cause they had it on their list to fix. I returned a week later to have it inspected. They buffed it then referred me to Excalibur auto collision and hi said it will need repainting and sent an estimate to dealer. I called Kaylee -service rep at dealer who is very hard to get ahold of so far. When I drove straight there minutes later she was not busy scrolling thru her phone. After that I have called dealer 4-5 times and have not received one call back. Left messages with a manager to call back, one specifically with John the manager and 2 to Kaylee with no call back. Unacceptable to say your busy for multiple days. More
