Poor Customer Service, Poor Communication, Poor Mechanics. I sent the message below to both Scott Calhoun and Gus Aslanidis, the sales managers at the dealership. After almost a week I still have not received I sent the message below to both Scott Calhoun and Gus Aslanidis, the sales managers at the dealership. After almost a week I still have not received a call or response from either individual. I have taken the car to another mechanic and it is currently being looked at. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I recently purchased a 2011 MKZ from Greg Woods at the dealership. Greg and Adam (finance) have been very kind and did a good job of getting the financing done and the car ready to buy. However, I purchased this vehicle because it had a clean Carfax record with zero incidents listed. I didn't have the car inspected by another mechanic because I assumed that a car with less than 50,000 miles and a clean title/Carfax would be a safe bet. When my fiancé and I took the car for a test drive we noticed that the car had a wobble and a vibration while driving. When I got back to the dealership I mentioned the wobble to Gregg in the anticipation that they would investigate. When I came in to sign for the vehicle I picked it up and immediately noticed the car was still vibrating/wobbling. We also noticed that a brake light was out which seemed odd for a car that just passed inspection. I called Gregg and he promptly put me in contact with the service team and setup a time to bring the car in on 2/23. On 2/23 the first time the team had the car they found that a wheel was bent and said they had it repaired. Two days later I had the car back to the shop because it was still vibrating, I took a mechanic for a test drive and he agreed the car was wobbling. I left the car there and they gave me a ride back to work. They called on the 2/26 and a friend dropped me off back at the dealership. They stated that they had re-balanced the tires and straightened the steering wheel because it was slightly off center. Chris stated that "I could pick up the car tonight, or I could leave it with them and they could make sure it was 100%." I replied with "why don't you go ahead and keep it." Chris then said, "Well why don't you come grab it and take it for a spin and see if it is still wobbling." I kept the car for the weekend and the car was still wobbling it was now also making a creaking/crunching noise when I would go to brake. I called back on 2/29 and told Chris that this was becoming quite tiring and I would just like the car to be fixed. At this point I was having to take time off of work to get the car into the shop and to pick it up. I had also had to find rides from friends to get back to the shop to pick the car up. I think it is normal that anyone would be frustrated at this point. Chris had one of the guys pick the car up the next day and left me with a loaner for three days. They returned the car on 3/3 and told me they had to replace the front left strut and also replaced two rear tires. I asked, "Why did you replace the tires?" Chris stated, "To be honest, the tires on there are junk." However, two of those same tires remain on the front end of the vehicle. On 3/3 I called back after I received the car that day and told Chris that the car was still making the creaking noise as it was braking. One of the two things I asked to have looked at was not repaired, nor could the mechanics speak to if it had even been looked at. Chris asked that I bring the car in over the weekend and a mechanic will listen to the noise. On 3/5 I brought the car in and Kyle (Service Manager) jumped in the car to listen to the noise. He then instructed me to call Chris on Monday. On Monday I called Chris and he said he would have someone come pick it up the next day. I told Chris "If you all can't fix the car this time, I am going to have another mechanic fix it and send the dealership the bill." Chris explained they would get it fixed. I received the car back on 3/8 and it was no longer making the creaking noise. The mechanic said that the "Caliper was rubbing." I am emailing you today because the car is still not driving correctly (still wobbling). I have an appointment to have the car inspected by another mechanic early next week. I reached out to the original purchaser of the car and she stated that they car had been in an accident/incident and that Carfax should have shown the incident (it doesn't). She also stated that she had to file a claim with the insurance. I feel like I have been more than patient with this team but I have really lost my patience. I am by no means mechanic but when you have symptoms of a bent wheel, a broken strut, a steering wheel that isn't aligned, and a caliper that is "rubbing," I would hope any mechanic could gather that something wasn't right with the front-end suspension. It took the team the 3rd time of seeing the car before they realized a strut was bad. I am at my wits end at this point. If this team cannot fix the car I will have another mechanic fix the car and I will be sending the bill to the dealership. More
