The Richardson Jeep website had an oil change package advertised for $140 for 2 oil changes. I generally try to arrive as early as possible for service to avoid long waits, so I arrived at the dealership at 6:55 AM to drop off my Jeep. When I arrived I was second in line.
The first service advisor greeted me and I told him I wanted to get the full synthetic oil change package advertised on their website for $140. On the early morning rush to the dealership, I accidentally left my phone at home. He told me I had to present the coupon and since I didn’t have it I would need to go home and retrieve my phone to present the coupon. I argued that it was silly because it was advertised on the website and I could bring the coupon back up when I picked up my car. He told me he couldn’t honor it otherwise, so I had no choice but to run home and get my phone.
When I got back to the dealership I was greeted by a different service advisor (JR). I told him I wanted to get the oil change package advertised on their website, he said no problem, got the oil change package and got me setup for throttle body service as well. JR didn’t request that I provide the coupon. So why did the other service advisor make me drive home to get it?
This is my frustration with this dealership and this is why I normally don’t go to this dealership. I usually try and go to the Huffines Jeep dealership in Plano, because on most of my experiences with Richardson Jeep, something off/bad happens. Richardson Jeep is really close to my house in comparison to Huffines, so it’s an out of convenience decision. The first service advisor made me waste time and gas for no reason. It wasn’t a far trip, but it’s just poor customer service.
Regardless of my first service advisor Interaction that day, my second (JR) was a pleasure to work with and because of him - I will most likely go back and give them another shot (assuming I could work with him again).
He was easy to work with, quick to follow up, very friendly, and knowledgeable. This is all I can ask for when working with a dealership!
