Jacob "Jake" Ketchum was polite and professional initially, before he assumed the typical salesman role, and immediately turned to lying and deceiving to make a sale. I was at the dealership to look initially, before he assumed the typical salesman role, and immediately turned to lying and deceiving to make a sale. I was at the dealership to look for a specific car that was active on their website. I provided the stock number I was looking for, showed him their listing, and he let me know he didn't know where it was. He told me to give him a minute to find it. Soon after he returned with his "manager" (name unknown) to assist with the sale and to break the news to me that the car in question was not available. But they had a solution and asked if I would be interested in the "exact same car, but a year newer," which also had 20,000 more miles for ONLY $2,000 more. I went ahead and test drove it but wanted to view the car that I originally came to see as it was not the exact same car (2024 and 2025 have body style differences). Jake and his colleague doubled down and informed me that the car was sent to auction and was not on the lot to view. It's unfortunate that Jake allowed his colleague to take him down this direction into what soon becomes a blatant lie. Following the interaction, I returned to my vehicle and called their online sales rep, unaware that I was at their dealership already, they informed me that the car was indeed on the lot and was ready to schedule me an appointment. I ended up walking the lot and found the car I was there to look at to confirm it was there. Confirmed with photos and VIN from their listing. If you get Jake as a salesperson, I recommend you request another or walk away as he is deceiving and dishonest in his interaction. It's unfortunate that Cable Dahmer allows this type of sales tactic at their dealerships. The car remains on their website with a price increase from their original listing. Odd considering I was informed it was sent to auction and was not available. More
