We found a great deal at Columbia Honda and got in contact with Mike McConnell regarding the vehicle. We were told the that we were pre approved for a 12.9% interest rate. We rented a car drove 5 hou contact with Mike McConnell regarding the vehicle. We were told the that we were pre approved for a 12.9% interest rate. We rented a car drove 5 hours to the dealer. When we got there we took the vehicle for a test drive. There was a loud buzzing noise coming from the dash and we were told it was just the radio. The sound continued when the radio was turned off. When we got there the vehicle had several more exterior scratches than we were informed of but we decided to go ahead with things. We informed the cars salesman that we were not interested in any of the warranties that were going to offered just as a heads up. He told us that that wasn’t a problem and the loaners would not be pushy at all they are just legally made to go through their spill. When we got back to the office to sign the paperwork we made a comment about how they told us that we were pre approved for 12.9 and the man said he didn’t know what they told us but it looked like we were going to be paying 14.9. Obviously we were shocked by that but what else is there to do. So we began signing paperwork and the spill about the warranty began. After about 10 minutes I told him that we were not interested and he continued to push it. I am not a confrontational person but I just simply told him we were not interested and asked if we could we move on. He said we could but about ten minutes later he went through the whole spill again. Once I again I said we weren’t interested. I told him it was just kind of the way we’re were raised to not do warranties and such… He then asked me if someone had held a gun to my head and said I couldn’t do it. I said no but it was my choice, I told him he could call my crazy if he wanted to but I didn’t want it. He said I do think your crazy, I said that’s fine. He looked at my husband and said, “ you haven’t been doing much talking what do you think about it all? I’m not trying to cause problems in your marriage but….” . He proceeded to go through the whole spill AGAIN! But because we had agreed prior the answer was still no. We were anxious to leave and get back on the road towards home and he simply wasn’t okay with taking no for an answer. Which I realize it’s his job to go through it all with us, but three times??? That seemed a bit much. We made it home with our car and had to take it and leave it at the ford car dealership near us. They are currently working on it to fix the noise coming from the console. They’ve been great to work with and should have it fixed soon. Me and my husband are incredibly excited about our new car and are grateful for the good deal that we got on it. But it simply wasn’t worth the ordeal that we had to go through to get it. I wouldn’t recommend this dealership simply because of how we were treated in the loan office and felt they could have been a lot more honest with us. More
