I left your office happy. You informed me the work was done 2 hours later than promised. Which is fine
My issue is that you called me 24 hours later to say you didn't do the work. l. This wasn't a miscommunication. I believe you deliberately misled me.
Why not say at the time we only did 1/2 the work?

Own up to the fact that you failed here.
I dropped my car off for two recalls.
I picked up my car, and you said all was great, failing to tell me that you didn't do half the work.

So they "fixed" it, but the noise was still there. As it turned out, they fixed something that did not even need fixing. After that, I brought it to you again, and you repaired the car correctly. (Your mechanics identified very quickly that it was the calipers.) Ever since then, I haven't taken my car anywhere else.
