Do not trust these people. Went to haasz after seeing Ram 1500 on cars.com. Met salesman jeff bender. Seemed like a nice guy. Funny and friendly. Told him I had 2008 Ford f15 Went to haasz after seeing Ram 1500 on cars.com. Met salesman jeff bender. Seemed like a nice guy. Funny and friendly. Told him I had 2008 Ford f150 to trade. And that I wanted to keep payments around $500/month. Before any numbers were given he asked me to sign a paper jokingly saying that it said if I was not happy or felt I was lied to I could get a lawyer and he would call his daughter, who is a lawyer and I would lose because I signed this paper. This should have been a big red flag. Anyway, I was told they would give me at little more than $7,400 for my truck. The payoff amount. And payment for new truck would be $525/month. I asked jeff if this was 72 month term. He said yes. As the new truck was around $33,000 after TTL the math added up. This would be $37,800 total with interest. He then offered a spray in bedliner for $500. Said it would add about $10/month. We discussed how over 72 months I would end up paying $720 for it and that would be about %50 increase. He joked it was around %45. I declined the bedliner, but agreed to buy the truck. When I came back to take delivery of my truck I was rushed through the signing of the papers. At the end I saw the paper where the length of the loan was 84 months. I asked why and said jeff told me 72 months. The finance person said I just signed this paper agreeing to 84 months. This is when I realized why jeff had me sign the paper first thing. He knew he was going to be lying to me. After looking at the papers I found that the $7,400 they gave me for my truck was added to my loan. Now I will pay for my trade in and give them my Ford to sell at 100% profit for them. So now my new truck is going to be over $44,000. So I am paying for 2 trucks now and they get mine for free. I told them I would be better off keeping my truck and only financing the Ram without trade in, Buy their truck and keep mine. I would be better off this way. But so far this has fallen on deaf ears. Only winner here is haasz. I have financed 3 vehicles before this in the last 6 years from Waikem in Massilon Ohio. Every time they went through the paperwork before I signed anything. I knew what I was going to pay and for how long. This is not the way haasz works. They will do what they can to trick you. I only wish Waikem had a Ram dealership. I would have went there first. You can trust Waikem. In closing. I will probably lose my lifetime power train warranty at haasz because I will not go back there to have servicing done. Will not give them another penny of my money. But I figure going to another Ram dealership for service will at least keep my extended warranty effective. You have been warned. If you go to haasz be very careful and read everything before you sign it. And stay away from jeff bender. He is what you might call a wolf in sheeps clothing. I think it goes without saying. But I will never buy another car from this place and I will probably never step foot in the building again. More
