We had a less than pleasant experience when we purchased our last car from Honda of Seattle. The sales person was less than warm and the finance person gave us wrong information on 2 documents we had to sig our last car from Honda of Seattle. The sales person was less than warm and the finance person gave us wrong information on 2 documents we had to sign. We did file a complaint and she was eventually fired. This was the second Outback we purchased from Carter. First was a lovely 2000 Outback that we loved. Our experience then was very pleasant. Buying our new Outback was equally as pleasant if not more so. Trepidation when walking into a showroom for autos is normal. Expecting a wolf to jump on you immediately. This time, Jeff got up from his desk and walked up offering an unpretentious handshake. Initial pleasantries were more than small talk. I explained exactly what I was looking for in a used car and he smiled and said he thought I might be in luck. We found two cars that were in my range of model year, mileage and price. Both Outbacks looked almost brand new. Long story short, I brought my wife up the next day for test drives. She loved them both. We wound up purchasing the newer model with fewer miles. The whole process of doing the deal was painless. We were offered way more for our used car as a trade in than it was worth. Very happy with price, the car and the experience. The only sore spot was working with financing. Skyler was great but I felt he gave us a hard sell on the extended warranty and the GAP insurance. On the GAP Ins. he was not clear on the initial cost which was confusing. We wound up getting it. Monday when I reported the new car purchase to our insurance agent, she offered us Their GAP insurance for about 1/3 of Carters cost. I just wish Skyler had been honest and told us we could probably also get it from our own Insurance Co. I know GAP ins is a profit center for you and again I felt pressured into purchasing it. Jeff was wonderful and represented Carter Subaru magnificently. We'll totally refer our friends to him. If we live long enough to see our new Subaru get old, Our next car will definitely come from Carter! More
