When we were looking at adding another car to our household we were unsure whether Volvo was a fit for us, both price-wise and size. Given that we are a young family, we felt very overwhelmed at the household we were unsure whether Volvo was a fit for us, both price-wise and size. Given that we are a young family, we felt very overwhelmed at the idea of visiting a showroom with our kids in tow, but given work schedules and childcare, this was the only way to review our options. Jesus was not the first point of contact for us at Smythe (I was connected to someone else who has since left), but ultimately the person we closed the deal with. He walked us through the two options in our price range and gave us his gentle recommendation between the two. His points on the car we chose were fair despite our primary concern (higher mileage) and it ended up being the only vehicle we test drove as a result. Ultimately we were very happy with our purchase despite our initial concern and were very pleased with the open feedback loop Jesus promoted during the entire process. He even preemptively replaced a part that had a minor scratch in the center console so we wouldn't have to return at a later time, and provided texting support on a question we had for the screen after purchase! I would highly recommend him to anyone who is looking to understand the various benefits Volvo can provide from both safety and luxury without the stuffy car salesman personality everyone often tries to avoid! 10 out of 10 stars if that rating were available. Now I want to move on to Max. He made this purchase even better for us once finalized. Given we never even sat in a Volvo he went through every single detail of the car as if he had built it himself. Jesus made sure to walk us through the various driving safety features and Max basically filled in everything else - how to set up user profiles, navigation pros/cons (traffic updates lacking in Volvo nav), headrest folding, seat positions, display features, even letting us know we had just purchased the safest car in the world and the long term benefit of Volvo ownership. He was also super easy to talk to, just like Jesus, and never made us feel like we weren't in the right vehicle for our growing family, unlike other experiences we had at other dealerships for another luxury SUV. All in all, this location Volvo has seemed to come up with the right formula when it comes to hiring in these two areas! Bravo! More
