I cannot stress enough: stay far away from this dealership. This is the second time I’ve been burned here, and I won’t let it slide again. My first bad experience was in 2022, when I bought a 20 dealership. This is the second time I’ve been burned here, and I won’t let it slide again. My first bad experience was in 2022, when I bought a 2013 Altima (61k miles) for $15,000. Within just two weeks, a major part (axle/rods) failed while I was driving on the highway. I almost crashed. The repair estimate was $3,000, and Newburgh Nissan refused to cover a single penny because the car was “over 7 years old.” No accountability, no responsibility — just me stuck paying almost $20,000 on a car that turned out to be a lemon. Fast forward to a few weeks ago: I gave them another chance (huge mistake). I purchased a 2018 Murano with 60k miles, nearly $17,000 after putting $7,000 down. When I picked it up, I noticed the bumper was literally hanging off on both sides. I even had photos from my test drive showing it was like that before I bought it. My salesperson James initially ignored my messages, then finally admitted they’d “take care of it.” Seems like he only responds now after I have to take matters into my own hands after being so communicative with me at first, but clearly I was just another “sale” and I don’t matter just like I didn’t to the first salesperson that sold me the Altima. Anyway - When I brought the car in, I was told it would be a quick 1–2 hour fix — instead I waited 6–7 hours, had to rent a car to make it to work, and when I picked it up the next day they had only fixed ONE side of the bumper. The other side still hangs down because the clips are broken. The manager, Mike, looked at it with a tech, admitted this was “the best it’s gonna get,” and even suggested I could pay them to replace the bumper! Imagine spending $16,000+ and being told that. The level of disrespect, lack of accountability, and poor workmanship is unreal. This dealership takes your money and leaves you with unsafe, poorly maintained cars. They don’t care about long-term customers, only about making a sale. Between almost crashing on the highway in a car they sold me, to now owning another vehicle that looks like it’s falling apart weeks after purchase, I am DONE with Newburgh Thruway Nissan. I will be sharing photos, receipts, and experiences with others who’ve had the same issues here. If you value your money and your safety, do not buy from this dealership. More
