In 2013 I was hired and trained by the dealership as a salesman, during my tenure at the dealership I was educated in the fundamentals of N0-Pressure sales, time and time again, the dealership owners, managers and leadership would reinforce and strengthen a culture of customer service and ethical conduct. This came in the forms of classes, seminars, dealership policy and was demonstrated from the very top of the dealership to the newest employee. Engraining the concept of the humble servant leader into every aspect of the organization makes each, and every department including, sales, finance, accounting, service and every area of the dealership a pleasure to deal with. At Wyatt Johnson you will be greeted happily by a staff that loves being at their jobs. You will find each showroom clean and comfortable with areas dedicated to families, children’s play rooms, quiet areas, great refreshments and clean bathrooms. Since my tenure at Wyatt Jonson ended I have purchased 4 cars from the dealership and have gone through the process every customer experience’s when first walking out on the lot to look. My first vehicle purchased at the Wyatt Johnson used Import dealership, this was the area of the dealership I had first worked as a new salesman under the tutelage of Jeffry Browder, a car sales Manager and father figure that most men never have the pleasure of experiencing. I always wanted to do a great job for the dealership and for Jeff, he motivated me and the staff, disappointing him hurt but he always made a learning experience out of difficulties. Jeff sometimes may have looked or sounded like a grumpy bear, but he would bend over backwards to make sure our customers loved their experience at Wyatt Johnson and left with their new vehicle. I know the customers and staff that work with him are very lucky people to get to spend time with him, and personally I miss him. At that time, I purchased a 2008 Chrysler Sebring, it’s dark blue convertible with a black cloth top and a gray cloth interior, I still drive that car especially in the fall and spring with the top down and my 50’s music turned up. My second purchase at Wyatt Johnson was from the NEW TOYOTA DEALERSHIP, my husband and I purchased a 2016 Prius, we went to test drive it very late on a Friday evening after work, we had not planned on leaving with the car, and by the time we had done the math on gas savings during our test drive we had decided we were not leaving without it. We finance the deal at a very reasonable rate and added gap and platinum protection which paid for itself 4X over having the car and wheels touched up from TN road rash. We loved driving the Prius from day one and its gas savings were exactly what we needed while commuting with gas priced spiraling out of control. Ever step of the sales and service process was, first class and from people that were happy to be staying late to finish our deal and deliver our new car. My third and fourth car purchase was entirely unexpected, I had been driving a 2005 Audi A6 that I had purchased privately in 2017, the car was in great shape but certainly was no daily driver. With the Chrysler getting older I wanted to get a new daily driver. I wanted something large, sporty and with all the features of a luxury car but at a reasonable price point. I was familiar with the Toyota lineup but had not made up my mind. I contacted Wyatt Johnson’s Toyota’s sales desk and spoke with, Mike Herold, he’s a US. Army veteran, gentleman and a well-trained salesman that is an expert in the Toyota line. He recommended that I come in for a test drive of an Avalon. I have seen the car in advertisements and I knew it was very similar to the Camry, other than that I really didn’t know much about the car. I did have a great feeling after talking to Mike and I was anxious to get down to the dealership and see the car. I brought my husband with me also Mike. I drove the Audi and he took our big Dodge Ram pickup; Clarksville and the dealership are about two hours’ drive from our home but well worth the trip. When we arrived, Mike greeted us and had a Silver Avalon parked in the delivery bay read for us to view. Mike went over all the cool features of the car and it really was packed with all the smart and safety technology I was looking for. The car was large and comfortable with a luxurious and sporty feeling, standing still the car looked like it would be fun to drive and yet amazingly also responsible. The car Mike Herold picked was metallic silver with a tan and burgundy interior, sultry, sexy immediately I named it the Silver Fox. I gave him my license to make a quick copy and in just a few min my husband and I were on our test drive. I had only made it two blocks down the street when I had decided I was going to go home with this car. The surprise came as I reached the stoplight and my husband said I want to drive back, so I pulled over and he jumped into the front seat. He turned the car around and headed back to the dealership my Mike smiled strangely, like he had just farted, but no bad smell followed, he then jumped out of the car like lightning and rubbed his finger on the door handle locking me in the car. He walked right up to Mike as I looked for the unlock button, shook his hand and gave him the keys, by the time I was out of the Silver Fox my husband had already said he wanted it!! With the knife wound placed firmly in my back I meekly asked, “so do you have another one like this?”. Mike Herold smiled calmly and said, “I have one that you should see.” A few minutes later he pulled up to the delivery bay with a Smokey Blue Gray 2019 Toyota Avalon Limited I fell in love at first sight. The interior has that same beautiful smoke gray leather and light gray accents, its seats are baby sink soft and have so many adjustments it holds your frame as comfortably as any “lazy boy” but with the stability of a race car seat. I called her Gray Ghost and she is a beauty. I said give me those keys she’s mine and of course Mike, Mike and we headed inside to do the paperwork. After as simple credit application and initial numbers the deal went to the finance officer that was going to find us creditors for our deal and get us a good rate. Misty Turner was the finance manager that was free to work on our deal, we had worked together in the past. I always had a great time talking with Misty and she was always very friendly. However, I had never really seen what she really had to do to complete a deal. Vehicle finance is a complex field, it involves privacy law and disclosures and building relationships with local and national lenders. It means understanding the value of the cars and their potential worth in assessment of the deal and its length. Finally delivering the best deal to the customer and then asking the customer for just a little more to make sure they have the extra protection they need to care for their investment. A Toyota is an investment they build cars to that will last and cars that you will love. I’m confident that after more than 70 years the good people at Wyatt Johnson’s dealerships will be there to maintain our family vehicle and once we are ready to get new vehicles they will be our only stop to fine our next. Anyway, Misty found us both great rates and put together our deal so fast I couldn’t believe it, we added the platinum protection plan and of course GAP insurance. Our investment is protected and with the Wyatt Johnsons Warranty for Life you couldn’t ask for a better dealership or better people to do business with. I don’t like Bull I’m a straight shooter and I’ll tell you the God’s honest, truth if you’re looking to buy a Car, Truck or SUV you are going to be in safe, professional hands at Wyatt Johnson.
