I had an outstanding experience at Temecula Valley Toyota, and I especially want to recognize Joaquin Gonzalez, Internet Sales Manager. From my very first contact, Joaquin stood out for his profession Toyota, and I especially want to recognize Joaquin Gonzalez, Internet Sales Manager. From my very first contact, Joaquin stood out for his professionalism, friendliness, and deep knowledge of Toyota products and features. He listened carefully to what I needed, respected my time, and worked with me to find the perfect fit. Because of the confidence he inspired, I drove over two hours to meet with him in person, and it was absolutely worth the trip. His respectful demeanor and genuine commitment to customer service made the entire process smooth and stress-free. The entire staff at Temecula Valley Toyota was welcoming and friendly, but Joaquin truly went above and beyond. I’d also like to thank Dale Ferguson, Internet Sales Associate, for taking the time to walk me through the features of the Highlander. His vast knowledge of Toyota products was extremely helpful and much appreciated. And a big thank you as well to Sal Rosales, Finance Manager, whose friendliness, efficiency, and clear explanations made the closing process fast and stress-free. Extremely disappointing interaction with a salesperson at this dealership, as well as concerns based on a prior in-person experience with the same individual. A few months ago, my family and I visited at this dealership, as well as concerns based on a prior in-person experience with the same individual. A few months ago, my family and I visited Toyota of Temecula Valley to test drive a specific vehicle. During that visit, we were assisted by the same salesperson who recently contacted us. At the time, we noticed elements of his tone and presence that came across as arrogant and condescending, but we chose to remain focused on our vehicle search. However, during that initial interaction, the salesperson also provided what I believe was inaccurate information regarding the credit process. He stated that the dealership would not pull credit if a customer came in with a check in hand. I attempted to clarify that, based on personal experience at multiple dealerships, this is not always the case—yet he continued to assert this incorrect information with unwarranted confidence. Fast forward to this week, I received a follow-up call from the same salesperson informing me that the vehicle we had been searching for was now showing in inventory and asking if we were still interested. I began to explain that we were still shopping around, in part due to concerns with the required add-ons specific to your dealership. Unfortunately, I was cut off mid-sentence. The salesperson interrupted to emphasize that he hadn’t discussed pricing yet and insisted that everything was negotiable. I attempted again to express our concerns and was once more interrupted, this time with a noticeably condescending tone. He repeatedly used the phrase, “Again, if you give me the opportunity…” and did not allow me to finish a single complete thought. It quickly became clear that he was not interested in listening—only in talking over me. Eventually, he became frustrated and abruptly ended the call with, “If you change your mind, let me know,” and hung up. I was genuinely shocked. While I initially considered letting it go, his tone and behavior were so disrespectful and unacceptable that I felt it necessary to respond. I called back and politely asked that our family be removed from future contact lists. Unfortunately, the conversation continued in the same condescending manner. He once again cut me off in an attempt to justify himself, and I had to point out that he wasn’t giving me the opportunity to speak at all. I expressed that I did not appreciate the tone of the conversation and reaffirmed that I did not wish to be contacted further. As a result of this experience and the pattern of dismissiveness, condescension, and misinformation, I will not be purchasing a vehicle from Toyota of Temecula Valley. Should I reconsider in the future, I will make a point to avoid working with that particular salesperson, and I would encourage others to consider doing the same. More
