

John has been with Koons since April 1985. John came to Koons because he felt Koons was a reputable and honest organization, and he still feels the same today. The thing he loves most about his job are the people. John grew up in Portsmouth, Virginia just outside of Virginia Beach. He moved to the northern Virginia area in 1980. John likes to spend his time away from Koons with his wife of over 22 years, Leslie, and his three daughters: Jessie, Ashley, and Stephanie. He also enjoys fishing and the Redskins.

Outstanding service experience Took my new (to me) 2016 F150 in for a headlight issue. Dealt with John Bolling who did an outstanding job quarterbacking the service of my truck. Set expectations for timing, provided progress updates, and proactively investigated for recall or other needed repairs. Could not have gone any smoother and will definitely drive past the other Ford dealership in Leesburg (the one that wanted to charge me $128 to replace my swollen lug nuts) to get my truck serviced here. Very professional all around, but John and his team (Karla and Kourtni) were great to work with. More

Worst car buying experience...EVER Worst car buying experience I've ever had. Never again. I purchased a new car because I wanted a NEW car, not one that has been worked on or has had i Worst car buying experience I've ever had. Never again. I purchased a new car because I wanted a NEW car, not one that has been worked on or has had issues of some sort. And let's be honest, if you are dropping 40k on a car, you are expecting a certain level of quality. Just 2 months after purchasing the car, I had to have body paint work done to the point of removing doors and rocker panels... I feel like the car is ruined (and If you have ever purchased a new car and had to have work done on it, you know what I am talking about. The car never feels the same). So I thought maybe Koons knowing all of this and my situation would be willing to work with me on trading my vehicle. They seemed receptive so I wanted to give them a chance to make things right. I told Koons I would purchase a more expensive upgraded vehicle and would be willing to accept a reasonable loss on my end for as a "trade in". Silly me. Koons offer was hands down one of the boldest "big nut" insults I have experienced. Please keep in mind I had no delusions of Koons simply buying the car back, and as I stated before I was willing to accept a reasonable loss. And of course their numbers included tax, title, delivery & processing fees. Koons didn't even bother trying to wave or reduce their "processing & delivery fee", Wow. After all of Koons "understanding" they slid a piece of paper across the table and told me to cram it... I realized at that moment the dealership had no interest in retaining me as a customer. They made their sale already, thanks sucker! Koons had my vehicle for over a month. I had to constantly reach out to them for the status of my vehicle. Every time it felt like I was forgotten. I understand, the dealership is a business like any other, and I wasn't looking for free ride, I want them to make their money. But after everything I experienced, I think the worst part of all this is the dealerships massive failure to make this right with a brand new customer, who purchased a premium vehicle. More

"Awesome Sales Experience" I live in AZ and looking for a F350 truck. I found a few in the area but was also looking out of state. I came across one listed at Koons Sterling For I live in AZ and looking for a F350 truck. I found a few in the area but was also looking out of state. I came across one listed at Koons Sterling Ford that looked really nice so I called to get some more info on it. I spoke to Syed Hussian and I have to say coming from a guy that has been in sales for about 25yrs now Syed was by far one of the best salesmen I have ever dealt with. He was very courteous, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. We spent a few days ironing out the deal but every time I reached out to him he responded almost immediately. I was very pleased.. I traveled from AZ to Virginia to get this truck because of Syed and the deal he was able to make me on it. I was not disappointed when I arrived. Syed had a cab pick me up at the airport and when I arrived at the dealership there were no surprises everything was taken care of and everything went absolutely smooth. Koons Ford is great. The staff at Koons is great. I had a long day and wait for my car by my choice. I was offered a loaner but did not take one. The staff was great. Everyone is friendly and treats you as if you were family. I have to say John and Steve are two great men. The next day my husband and I were back to purchase a new car. We both thought it would never happen but the Koons Ford team made it happen for us. Thank you everyone. Steve Arnold was the best. He has a very caring attitude and is not in it just for selling a car for his commission he is there for the person. I can't say enough good things about him. John Bolling is also a wonderful person. He treated me as if I was a family member at his house for a visit. He kept me informed about everything that was happening with my car. Such a great and caring man. More
