I refer to myself as Big John. I went to Cal State Fullerton and started in the automotive industry in 1987. I began working at Jim Curley GMC IN 2022. I truly love the car business and consider my co-workers my friends. They are the heart of the dealership. I am originally from Linden, N.J. and have lived in Toms Rivers since 1997 .I lived in California for 6 1/2 years, and my first real job was at Disneyland. That is where I learned that customers always come first. I've been married to my wife Barbara since 1992 and have twins Nick and Kaitlyn. Both college grads and both graduated got their masters in education and business analytics. . I'm proud to say that my wife and my kids are everything to me . My success is their success . I recently purchased a 2024 GMC Canyon Denali from Jim Curley, and the experience was outstanding from beginning to end. Jack Merwede and the entire team—from sales to finance to parts—made the process in Curley, and the experience was outstanding from beginning to end. Jack Merwede and the entire team—from sales to finance to parts—made the process incredibly smooth, quick, and simple. They truly exceeded my expectations, taking the time to understand my needs and making sure I felt valued as a customer. (and I went to a number of dealerships) The quality of the truck is excellent—GMC really hit the mark with the Canyon Denali. But what really set this experience apart was the dealership's approach. The team at Jim Curley as a dealership was clearly focused on providing top-notch SERVICE rather than dealership opulence. It was all about making sure I had a great deal, not just closing a deal. Jim Curley GMC is not my local GMC dealership, but was worth the travel. Saleswoman Cynthia Rothschild was a pleasure to work with and did not come on too strong. Her sales manager, Hank Eisenhauer, was also very engaging and was easy to negotiate with to come to a fair lease agreement. Lastly, the other sales manager, John Duncsak, stepped in to complete financing and paperwork to fill in for an unexpected vacancy and was super easy going and thorough. A pleasant experience all around and competitive pricing as well. More
