I will never buy a car from out of state again. My first experience was with Jerry Hunt Supercenter in Lexington, where my mom went to look at a vehicle for me. There were after-market items all over the car and the sale pended on them removing and fixing some of the art-market items, such as the front bumper. After making a deal on the vehicle, I was then emailed copies of the transaction and was mailed several papers relating to the sale. When my mom went to pick up the car after they had done their "repairs", we found that they had not replaced the bumper but installed what appeared to be black weather stripping in the gap between the hood of the car and the front bumper instead of replacing the bumper, leaving a ridiculous looking gap filled in with silicone. They refused to replace the bumper like they had agreed to, and so I began looking elsewhere. After a few days, I realized they had the same vehicle at their sister location in Salisbury. My mom went to that dealership and explained the situation. I went with a different vehicle that was all stock, so there wasn't anything to be repaired besides a little chrome paint. After making the deal on the new vehicle, it took them FOUR DAYS to email me a copy of the documents and over a week to send the required paperwork to be notarized, but this time none of the additional paperwork related to the sale was included, only the title transfer paper and power of attorney. After my mom left the dealership in Salisbury to drive my new vehicle to Colorado, she realized that both of the key fob batteries were low and needed to be replaced and the windshield wipers needed to be replaced yesterday, so to speak. Also, they never placed any plastic covering over the temporary tags so the tags were basically shredded after driving for one day. As the dealership knew she was planning on driving the car across the country upon picking it up, you would think that someone would have thought to protect the temporary PAPER tag. Upon trying to register my new car here in Colorado, I realized I had never even received a bill of sale for the vehicle. After requesting the document from the dealership, I was told that an incorrect email and phone number were associated with my sale. The document was forwarded to me quickly although then I was told by the DMV that it takes 45-60 days for them to receive the paperwork for the title. While I should have two weeks left on my temp tag from NC, I had to go and register for an additional temporary tag through the state of CO because I'm begging to be pulled over with my current shredded temp tags. Anyways, long story short; I have had less than pleasurable experiences with both Jerry Hunt Supercenters. One would think that after paying $30,000 cash for a car, the least they could do is change the batteries in the key fobs and maybe check the windshield wipers before allowing someone to drive off of the lot. Overall, there has been a massive lack in attention to detail and a deep rift in the communication department. What should have been an exciting experience was made to be a miserable quest with no end in sight. More

I was very pleased with my purchase and the entire process. I felt like I got a good deal and was treated fairly. My only issue was that there was only one key with a car with less than 2,500 miles. process. I felt like I got a good deal and was treated fairly. very pleased with the purchase and interest rate . . there should have been a better delivery of the car, i didn’t receive a registration card and asked the dealer to send me one because i was going on . there should have been a better delivery of the car, i didn’t receive a registration card and asked the dealer to send me one because i was going on a military installation and it took hours to get a response from them and then for them to send it to me.. i actually didn’t receive it till the following day, if the man that delivered my car had one or something to show that tags were transferred, i would have felt better but all and all the dealership was great.. also someone to show me how to work things on the car since there was no manual. More
