BUYER BEWARE! Targets black people! Predatory The actual sale was OK, his knowledge on the vehicles are lacking. At least of the Chevy Traverse, I ended up with a car less advanced than my previo The actual sale was OK, his knowledge on the vehicles are lacking. At least of the Chevy Traverse, I ended up with a car less advanced than my previous car due to him failing to make me aware of the trims lack of Bluetooth capability. Sure it has Bluetooth and you can use the speakers to speak on the phone, but I cannot connect my music, or actually be hands free as the radio doesn't allow it. I didn't even know they still made vehicles like this and this wasn't explained to me before signing on the dotted line, so I'm stuck as I'm in a lease and cant upgrade anything. . I came in and traded an older vehicle to get something bigger and newer. John was super nice, sweet and was super helpful. Since the deal took most of the day, John even bought me lunch. My issue with John is his treatment AFTER the sale was complete. Nice and sweet before the sale, an absolute NIGHTMARE afterwards. So, I got my lease and John gave me the option of making the 1st payment at a later date. I went to do so and was told by finance they had no idea what I was talking about and that I didn't owe anything. I said, oh ok. John calls me the next day asking when I was coming in. THIS IS WHERE HE TURNED INTO A COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL, RUDE, DEGRADING PERSON. I explained to him that I had come just the day before and was given my money back and that no one knew about this payment. I live in OSWEGO which is already a drive, and to come back again was going to be super inconvenient, I work nights and worked the day before and that night. Any-who, his tone changed, his entire demeanor was that of an angry, old man. The way he spoke to me on the phone, was very accusatory as if I was trying to not make the payment . That was not the case AT ALL, I tried to explain to him what I was told the day prior and this guy was extremely degrading, rude and unacceptable , speaking over me, THREATENING ME. The way he handled a COMPLETE misunderstanding was completely irresponsible and was one of the worse ways I think I have ever been treated by someone in a sale position. I immediately demanded to speak with a manager, I was completely flabbergasted, as he was such a sweet person.I was so ready to write a RAVING review. LUCKILY, I spoke with Patrick, the manager, explained the situation and told him how completely unprofessional John was when he could have EASILY, apologized for the misunderstanding and LISTENED to what I was saying and that would've been the end of it. Nope, he chose to make a complete xxx of himself and because of him, once this lease is done, Castle will no longer have a chunk of my change. Patrick was apologetic and very professional and understanding, also baffled by his treatment of me, which I feel may be related to my age, I am younger and maybe he felt he could talk to me like I was a child. I'm not sure. So beware, once the sale is done, he seems to no longer care about your concerns and treats you as if you no longer matter. After telling others of my experience an odd thing happened. I mentioned I bought a car I wasn't happy with.. before I could even tell him where, he named the dealership and John porters name. Come to find out, he specifically targets black people treats them the exact same. Nice during the deal, unprofessional and rude afterwards. States that he has bragged about being able to take black people for rides since he's also black and old, we automatically trust him and he uses that to his advantage. I was livid upon hearing this and felt taken advantage of based of his predatory actions based on my race. I will contact corporate and make a formal complaint everywhere I possibly can. This is my 2nd vehicle I've gotten at this dealership, and my 3rd vehicle purchased. More

Easy breezy! I went to this dealership looking to purchase a used car, I thought I couldn't get a new car because od my credit. After speaking with the sales mana I went to this dealership looking to purchase a used car, I thought I couldn't get a new car because od my credit. After speaking with the sales manager Nick, and he explained how I could get the car I really wanted for what I was already willing to pay. Great service! Great customer service! Great attitudes from every person I encountered. More

I appreciate that I was given a call to be informed that I eill be working with someone else which wasn't a problem. I had the pleasure of meeting John and he was professinal through the entire sale. I feel that he went over and beyond to meet my needs and the price that best fit my budget. I have given his name and the name of the dealership to a few friends of mine. The only negative thing I have to say is that due to the strike and short staff I wasn't able to have my car delivered to my home I had to take a cab back to the dealership but over all I'm pleased. More

Do your homework before buying any vehicle here! I was thoroughly disappointed with the sales staff at Castle Chevrolet. I specifically asked if the pre owned vehicle had certain options before I ma I was thoroughly disappointed with the sales staff at Castle Chevrolet. I specifically asked if the pre owned vehicle had certain options before I made a 600 mile trip to visually inspect the vehicle. I also told the representative that I would be making the trip to see the vehicle on Monday. When I arrived the vehicle had options that I was told an employee verified the vehicle did not have. The vehicle was absolutely filthy inside. When a buyer notifies a dealership that he will be there to look at a vehicle on Friday that he is coming on Monday most competent dealerships would have the vehicle clean, detailed and ready for the buyer to inspect. When I got there the sales staff was standing around, not helpful at all, it was hot outside and the salesmen who I was dealing with ran inside the building and left me out in the heat. When I asked questions about the vehicle this guy could not competently answer any questions, nor could his manager. The sales staff at Castle Chevrolet was more interested in walking around the show room laughing with one another and rubbing their hands together in anticipation of commission than actually helping customers. The most incompetent sales staff I have ever seen in an automotive dealership. Horrible experience! More

Found the car that I wanted at an unbeatable price I came from Michigan to buy as they had the particular vehicle model I liked. John Porter was my sales rep and I would recommend him to anybody. From the walk in, John Porter guided me through all my questions regarding the vehicle. Pete assisted me in addressing the extra concerns I had regards to the manufacturer warranty and extra mods. What led me down is the finance department. I had to call them 15 times to get an incorrect charge refunded as they wouldn't respond appropriately. General manager Patrick is a good guy and he corrected their mistake. But the whole process was a struggle. Since all departments are not in sync, I wouldn't do business with them again. More
