Before going into the store, I spoke with a gentleman named John, who was friendly and helpful. I arrived about 30 minutes before closing, and all I wanted to do was take a look at the car in person. I knew it was close to closing time, so I made it very clear to John that I wasn't planning to purchase that day. He was understanding and easygoing. He asked me some questions about my current car, which I was looking to trade in, and then went to bring out his sales manager. That's where things took a turn. The sales manager, Jerry Myers, came at me right away and rudely questioned how I could expect to keep the same payment I have now with no money down. I told him I wasn't there to talk price yet — I just wanted to look at the car. He asked why I was even there. I explained that I wanted to see the vehicle in person and get more information about the trim. He told me he couldn't get me to the price I was looking at. I pointed out that I had a trade-in, and the equity would get me close to their asking price. He eventually agreed, but kept speaking to me in a condescending, off-putting tone the entire time. I had my 7-year-old son with me, and even he asked me afterward why that man was talking to me like that. All I wanted to do was look at a car and get some information — instead I was treated with hostility and disrespect over a purchase I hadn't even decided on. If this is how Jerry treats someone just walking in the door, I can only imagine how customers are handled once the papers are signed. John was the one bright spot and deserves none of this criticism, but the way Jerry Myers conducted himself was completely unacceptable. I won't be back, and I'd strongly urge anyone considering this dealership to shop elsewhere. More
