ENGLISH- ESPAÑOL Beware of Hoffman Toyota. Worst car-buying experience I've ever had After taking my down payment, the salesperson (Jose Rivera) went MIA, never updated me on the status. I Worst car-buying experience I've ever had After taking my down payment, the salesperson (Jose Rivera) went MIA, never updated me on the status. I had to constantly chase him down, he never answered his phone, and getting in touch was extremely difficult. When the car arrived, Jose and the finance guy tried to sneak in a higher monthly payment than we agreed on (not an upsell, just a flat-out switch). I caught it in the moment, and they backed off. In my first statement I realized the car had been sold to me for $1,100 more than the agreed price. The manager, Luis Plaza, tried to pin the mistake on the bank (Hoffman's own bank, btw). But the bank only sent the amount the dealership asked for, so yes, they tried to scam me again. They refunded the $1,100, but by then I had completely lost trust. I decided to return the car and trade it in for the one I originally wanted. They knew they messed up, so they gave me good deal. But there is more. When the new car arrived, it had been damaged during unloading. I was given two options: either send the car back and wait 3+ months for another, or accept a repaired "new" car. I didn't have time to wait, so I had no choice but to accept the repair. I asked for a discount but the manager refused and just got attitude from him. 6 months after, and my car got towed because of an insurance lapse... and that's when I found out I'd been driving an uninsured car the whole time because the paperwork they gave me had the wrong VIN number. I had been paying insurance on a completely different vehicle. If I'd gotten into an accident, the consequences would've been devastating. To top it off, the bank that financed the new loan didn't receive the title, due to the wrong paperwork from Hoffman. All of this ended up costing me: $400+ in DMV fines and towing fees + $1,000 in insurance payments for a car I didn't even own. They never took responsibility, just blamed the bank, the insurance, anyone but themselves. They only refunded $200 of the DMV fine "as a favor" even though they caused the issue. Sloppy, dishonest, and dangerous. Avoid this place at all costs. --------------- La peor experiencia que he tenido. Después de dar la cuota inicial, el vendedor (Jose Rivera) desapareció. Nunca me actualiazaba sobre el estado del auto. Tuve que estar detrás de él todo el tiempo, no contestaba el teléfono, y fue casi imposible comunicarme con él. Cuando llegó el auto, Jose y el señor de finanzas trataron subirle el precio a la cuota mensual que habiamos acordado y cuando me di cuenta intentaron enredarme y se echaron para atrás. En mi primer estado de cuenta, vi que el auto me habían cobrado $1,100 más de lo acordado. El manager, Luis Plaza, intentó culpar al banco (el banco de Hoffman). Pero el banco solo desembolsó lo que el concesionaria solicitó, me intentaron estafar otra vez. Me devolvieron los $1,100, pero ya no confiaba en ellos. Decidí devolver ese auto y cambiarlo por el que originalmente quería. Como sabían lo que habían hecho, me dieron un buen precio. Pero eso no es todo. Cuando llegó el segundo auto, se dañó durante la descarga. Me dieron dos opciones: devolverlo y esperar más de 3 meses por otro, o aceptar el auto nuevo reparado. No podía esperar tanto, así que no tuve otra opción que aceptarlo. Pedí un descuento, pero el gerente se negó y me fue grosero. Pasan 6 meses y la grúa se llevó mi auto porque la registración estaba suspendida, ahí descubrí que había estado manejando sin seguro todo ese tiempo. Porque Hoffman Toyota me dio un número de VIN equivocado, estuve pagando seguro por otro carro. Si hubiera tenido un accidente, las consecuencias habrían sido gravísimas. Ademá, el banco que financió el segundo préstamo no recibió el título del auto, por el error en la documentación entregada por Hoffman Toyota. Todo esto me costó más de $400 en multas del DMV y la grúa, más $1,000 del seguro que pagué por un auto que ni siquiera era el More

They sold me a car and took money to finish all paperwork. After 5 days I gave them a call about my registration and found out that they still didn’t do it. Now I’m sitting at home, as 7 days passe paperwork. After 5 days I gave them a call about my registration and found out that they still didn’t do it. Now I’m sitting at home, as 7 days passed and I prohibited to drive my car. Can’t work, as my job is delivery, so I’m loosing money. They promised to do it in time, but didn’t do it. Bad service.
