I purchased a used 2024 BMW X3 from Countryside Mitsubishi on November 7, 2025. What followed was the most deceptive and unprofessional automotive experience I have ever encountered. The Sale: Mitsubishi on November 7, 2025. What followed was the most deceptive and unprofessional automotive experience I have ever encountered. The Sale: Immediately after driving home, I discovered the dealership failed to disclose critical defects: a previously replaced aftermarket windshield and missing floor mats. More importantly, this windshield had voided the factory BMW warranty, a material fact never shared with me, robbing me of the chance to reject the car. The False Promises: The manager, Rob, promised to "make things right" using BMW-certified technicians. He assured me the repair facility was staffed by "BMW Certified Master Technicians." This was a complete misrepresentation. The Dangerous "Repair": Instead of a proper fix, the dealership sent my car to an uncertified third-party shop. They performed a cheap "work-around" on the critical rain-sensing wiper system linked to the faulty windshield. This patch job did not solve the problem and has, in fact, created a new, dangerous safety defect causing the wipers and washer fluid to fail intermittently. The Outcome: The dealer has stopped responding to my concerns about this safety hazard. I have been forced to file formal complaints with the Illinois Secretary of State, the Attorney General, and Mitsubishi Motors North America. Do not trust this dealership with your safety or your money. They engage in deceptive sales practices, misrepresent their repair capabilities, and will leave you with a less safe vehicle than you purchased. I hope my experience serves as a serious warning to others. More
