To be honest this place doesn’t even deserve a full star. I have been trying to get my gap insurance cancelled and nobody returned my calls. I finally got a hold of someone who gave me his info to send him I have been trying to get my gap insurance cancelled and nobody returned my calls. I finally got a hold of someone who gave me his info to send him the items he needed to process my request. I sent it and never heard anything back. I have followed up with no response. I have been working on this for three months now and have gotten nowhere. I live in a different state so the option of going to the location doesn’t exist. I am at my wits end with this place! More

Don't buy a vehicle here! I will tell you why To whoever reads this review- I will try and be as fair and factual as possible in this review. Here are the facts: A few weeks ago my young stepson To whoever reads this review- I will try and be as fair and factual as possible in this review. Here are the facts: A few weeks ago my young stepson (20 yrs old) was buying his first newer car after driving an older 4Runner for a few years. He went into Toyota Bountiful one evening about an hour or so before they closed. He looked at a few cars and eventually drove a new Tacoma, which he loved. Toyota made him an offer, he said he wanted to think about it and come back another day. However, the salesperson took his 4Runner in on trade, gave him the keys to the Tacoma and an incomplete contract without a definite interest rate or payment terms and eventually convinced him to take the truck that night. My stepson said he wanted to finance the truck thru his credit union, however the salesperson said NO! Toyota will finance you. However, turns out they never verified his income, never even asked for a check stub, and sent him on his way. He showed up at our house extremely nervous, shaking and clearly under duress. He didn't even realize what he had done it all happened so fast. A few weeks later he called the dealer back and asked if they had paid off the loan on his 4Runner, because he got a late notice from his credit union. Then the fun began. The sales manager told my stepson that the finance manager had screwed up and Toyota couldn't finance him based on the info he had provided. However, my stepson would have been approved thru his credit union, but they had told him not to call them of course. So what did they do next? they told him he would have to bring the truck in a find something else. Long story short, my step son ended up with 3 different contracts, all with different interest rates and payment terms. They had no intention of paying off his 4Runner loan or even contacting him about it weeks after the sale! Not only, this dealer harassed my stepson so much that we eventually had to contact an attorney about the situation as this may end up in litigation. My step son eventually returned the Tacoma- even though he has a very well-paying job with very good credit- and Toyota Bountiful gave him his 4Runner back in filthy, used condition. The way they treated my stepson was completely unethical, unprofessional, unorganized and possibly illegal. KC Waterbury- the GM, Cam Bennee- the Gen Sales Manager, the finance manager and the sales person should all be ashamed of themselves for lying, deceiving and harassing my stepson until he caved in. Keep in mind there was already a valid contract signed by both parties! Even though he ended up with 3 of them, they were still valid as they had been signed by both parties. This experience has been completely mind-boggling. I am leaving reviews on every possible website including Google reviews and have filed a complaint with the BBB. As stated we are possible going to court, although that is the absolute last thing we wanted to do. It is unfortunate that dishonest people feel they have the right to run an incompetent business and then when THEY make the mistakes- harass their customers because of something they failed to do. Avoid this dealership at all costs- there are so many better ones out there. Andrew D. More

Lies, threats, and intimidation by staff at Bountiful To Let me share with you my experiences at Toyota Bountiful. The check engine light came on my 2000 Toyota Corolla. The service writer, Andrew Slade, Let me share with you my experiences at Toyota Bountiful. The check engine light came on my 2000 Toyota Corolla. The service writer, Andrew Slade, lied to me regarding the cause of the check engine light. He told me it was the catalytic converter. I went home. Reset the check engine light. It never came back on for another 14,000 miles and more than a year until I finally sold the vehicle. When I picked up the Corolla, Andrew threatened me. First he told me the vehicle would not pass emissions testing. This was a lie. The car had passed emissions testing three weeks prior. Then he told me the car would ‘blow up and kill me’. I am not an idiot. These were more lies. When I brought this to the attention of the Service Manager, Steve Ward, his reaction was to gather a room of employees, to tell me he had contacted Utah DMV and reported the registration on my vehicle had been obtained fraudulently. This was another lie. When I brought this to the attention of the General Manager, KC Waterbury, he found nothing wrong with any of the lies, threats, and intimidation. Guess it’s just the normal method of operation at this dealership. When the Operation Director, Denim Simkins, spoke to me about all the above, he personally vouched for all these fine gentleman and he had never had one complaint. Well, that was another lie. I had been scammed by the service department one year prior. That incident was with the service writer, Joe, regarding fuel injectors. When I brought in documentation on the correct price for the repairs, Joe told me, “This is not a XXXXX Flea Market and you cannot XXX me down.” Joe used two racial slurs which this website is insisting I remove or they will not post my review. A $600 refund from the owner, Kirk Bengtzen, was partial compensation for being overcharged and the comments from Joe. I contacted Kirk Bengtzen a few months after meeting with him to find out why there had been no follow up, accountability, corrective action plan, or other investigation into the corporate culture where lies, threats, and intimidation were not only allowed but encouraged from management down to techs. His response was he considered the matter closed. I told him, I was sincerely sorry he thought the way I was treated was acceptable in any manner. Also, Toyota Bountiful uses unethical practices on social media having their employees post as customers. The review on Facebook on Feb. 19, 2019 by Manoj Sharma is one such review. More

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! THIS DEALERSHIP MISREPRESENTED THE CAR My husband contacted Toyota Bountiful the beginning of May, 2018, regarding a 2015 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible they were advertising on their website My husband contacted Toyota Bountiful the beginning of May, 2018, regarding a 2015 Chevrolet Camaro Convertible they were advertising on their website, and also on many car search sites, as he was surprising me with my Dream Car for Mothers Day. He had several conversations with the Salesman we were given, both over the phone, and by texts and emails, as we live in Oregon. we were guaranteed the car is in EXCELLENT CONDITION, TRUE TO THE PICTURES POSTED, AND WE WOULD BE VERY PLEASED WITH OUR PURCHASE. So we secured the loan for over $17,000.00, and bought a one way airline ticket to Salt Lake City, UT, and he flew out at 5:00am on Saturday, May 5th, 2018 to buy this car and drive it home to me. He arrived, only to find that the DOORS on the car did not match the paint on the rest of the car, it had several deep scratches in the paint, dents in the body, and the interior was also in very poor condition, and not the same as illustrated in the photo's online. HE WAS FURIOUS!! The GM, upon my husband refusing to purchase this car, OFFERED TO HAVE THE CAR REPAINTED, and my husband still refused. So there he was, stuck in Utah. So i had to scramble to get him on another flight back to Oregon, and the GM hand wrote on his letterhead, that he would reimburse us for both airfares, and an additional $500.00 for our wasted time, flying out there for a car that was MISREPRESENTED by his staff for sale online. To date, we have not received this reimbursment, and the exact same car remained on their website for sale, with fraudulent photo's, misrepresenting its actual condition. More

My Truck was gone for 5 Months 5 Months. That's how long our truck was gone. If that's gotten your attention listen to the whole story. We bought a used truck; they said a new trann 5 Months. That's how long our truck was gone. If that's gotten your attention listen to the whole story. We bought a used truck; they said a new tranny had been installed. Two days later we found out it had NOT been installed. They install it and the truck shows ALL the problems hidden by the tranny issue. We take it in to their dealership multiple times they can't figure it out. They try to make us pay $600 for something they THINK might be wrong. We say NO WAY! They sold us this truck and it was not street worthy. The check engine light always comes on. We talk to the GM and he tries to appease us by saying they will take care of whatever issues it is having. They send it to the Chevrolet dealership to have them pinpoint what is wrong. We wait, and call, and call and they either never answer, tell us its getting worked on but not what’s wrong, or never call us back. The first time Toyota had it they kept if for a month which we thought was kind of crazy but they kept it at the Chevy dealership for 5 MONTHS!! I don't understand why anyone would think that's ok! My husband and I have both cried actual tears over the whole situation and we are still dealing with it to this day. They never fixed it. Everything they did temporarily made it run ok but inevitably, a week or a day later the engine light is on. When I tried to get a refund because the situation is ridiculous the GM says no, they don't do refunds after 30 days. THEY HAD MY TRUCK FOR 30 DAYS???? They paid the payments for the time they had the truck which was something but it does not make up for the wasted time and heartbreak. When I told the GM they had sold me the truck saying the tranny had been replaced when it hadn't he said "That's what you say" like I was lying but he knew that was exactly the case. We call this dealership, specifically the Service Manager and Assistant and we never get in contact with them. They never call back. We have to go into the shop to talk to them, EVERY TIME. Which is A LOT because our truck is messed up. People at the dealer ship KNOW what truck we are talking about and know who we are because we have to go there all the time. We have STRESS about going to the building or even thinking about having to go now and I can hardly get my husband to anymore. They told us they would give us a list of all the parts the Chevy dealership replaced. We had to contact them multiple times for that (and go in), and we still have not received it and it has been a MONTH. We have a whole other review for the Chevy dealership too which I will briefly mention here: They told us our engine was fine ($100) when it started having RPM issues when we got it back (which were not present before Chevy took it 5 months ago) and a week later its almost died with engine shudders and the engine light is on. They are the ones that did most of the work on the truck in the first place. Now Toyota won't even touch our truck telling us to take it strait to Chevy because they don't know what they are doing. We recorded all the dates and lengths our truck was gone because we want to talk to someone about this company and this situation. I don't know why they would treat their customers like this because by this time (8 months later) all our friends, family, and neighborhood know about this dealership!!! Why would you want that kind of advertising? More
