My wife and I recently visited Old Orchard Nissan in Skokie to test drive a vehicle and left with serious concerns about the dealership. We had scheduled an appointment in advance, but when we arrived we were told the salesperson we’d been communicating with online (Eric) wasn’t a real person. The salesman who eventually helped us (Jeremy) seemed confused about why we were there and which vehicle we wanted to see. After waiting about 15 minutes, the car was finally brought around, but was filthy, with the explanation that their car wash was broken. During the test drive, the salesperson wasn’t able to answer even basic questions about the vehicle. We also discovered that one of the rear entertainment screens was actually cracked (despite initially being told it was just a screen protector), and after the drive there was a noticeable burning smell from the engine. At that point there were simply too many red flags. Even though we were willing to discuss the issues and potentially make a deal, the Used Car Manager never came out to speak with us. The overall experience felt disorganized and unprofessional, and unfortunately the follow-up communication afterward wasn’t any better. We came in genuinely interested in buying a vehicle but left feeling like we were dealing with a shady used car operation rather than a professional dealership. Buyers should proceed with caution. Worst experience ever! !!!! Started out trying to get my 18-yr old daughter a newer car, we live in Michigan. Finally found the needle in the haystack, the perfect car, ev !!!! Started out trying to get my 18-yr old daughter a newer car, we live in Michigan. Finally found the needle in the haystack, the perfect car, every option she wanted at a good price. but it was in Skokie Illinois (old Orchard Nissan). We proceeded to our credit union, and she was pre-approved at 4.5% interest for the car, I proceeded to stay in contact with Old Orchard, I explained everything to Paul (salesman), from her credit union approval all the way thru Mi tax and Mi title, they assured me everything was covered, no problem. Car will be warmed up upon our arrival 9am. we headed to Ill in a snowstorm all 5-hr. white knuckle drive, we arrived guess what no Paul, no warmed-up car, they had to go find it, finally car shows up to lot, yup everything she wanted, I proceeded to talk with the new salesman Giddian which was really nice, polite and totally understood my Delima thru the hour I was there. Manager Casper (like the ghost) came to me and said we cannot sell you the car unless I financed thru them, I politely said no here is the whole conversation thru messages back and forth thru myself and Paul. Well after waiting for about 30 min Casper and Eric Villanueva (General Manager) said to me and my 18-yr old daughter it is time to part ways and LEAVE!!! I about lost it and offered to pay in cash, credit card .... ETC, they said no leave. They Kicked us out, unbelievable Worst experience of my life buying a car!!! More

When I purchased the car, the price included some unclear additional services that I hadn't been informed about beforehand.
