If I could give this poor excuse for a company NEGATIVE STARS, I WOULD! This is, by far, the WORST 'car dealership' in the xx. Louis area! This company preys on people who have NO OTHER CHOICE than to go t STARS, I WOULD! This is, by far, the WORST 'car dealership' in the xx. Louis area! This company preys on people who have NO OTHER CHOICE than to go to them to buy a car. And to say they can finance anyone? For just a nickel down-payment? That is a straight up lie. They CANNOT finance ANYONE, unless you call leasing people a car over 10 years old, for over DOUBLE what it's actually WORTH, making them put a $1650 down payment on it, and making the payments due every two weeks, for a nickel down!!! This is what happened to us. And not only did they do that, they would NOT stop pestering us about payment when it wasn't even late AND insurance when they HAD the documentation that we had insurance! AND, when we went to drive the car off the lot, we noticed the windshield was broken! Their service department passed inspection on a car with a broken windshield!!! They had to back track and give us a loaner vehicle AND tried to make us feel 'special' because 'they don't usually do that'. They pretty much HAD TO DO THAT after their monumental screw up! I know, this is a SMALL TIME CIRCUS of a dealership, but come ON! Then, when we DID have the car and got a little behind on our payments (but were in contact with them about when we could get caught up), without so much as a phone call or a right to cure letter, they came and repossessed the car! And how would we even KNOW it was them calling when the caller ID says Treasa Turnbaug and not even a company name when they call??? SO UNPROFESSIONAL! We were 1 and 1/2 payments behind, with payment arrangements in place with them!!! Before the tow truck driver even had the car hooked up I offered to pay them over the phone for the past due amount. The completely clueless person, who can't make ANY decision without his supervisor, wanted to argue with me about it. For 18 minutes! The tow truck driver took THIRTY MINUTES to hook my car up and haul it away and 5 Star did nothing to rectify this. After speaking to another uneducated person there, calling herself a manager, we were told we would be able to come and get the car the following Monday (this was Friday), as long as we paid the past due and storage fee. We said we could do that. She called us on Monday to confirm that on Wednesday we could make the payment and pick up the car. On Tuesday, the same 'manager' called us and told us upper management had decided we should 'part ways'. So, no reason why was given and no opportunity to make the past due payment and a half to get it caught up so we could have the car back AS AGREED UPON ON FRIDAY AND THEN AGAIN ON MONDAY by this 'manager' who ALSO has no authority to make decisions at 5 Star, obviously! We made made a verbal agreement with her, and THEN she comfirmed a few days later! I'm so disgusted with every single person who works there because of the fact that...they work THERE. HOW DO THEY SLEEP AT NIGHT screwing up people's lives like this? There are laws in Missouri stating the 3 things a lender needs to do BEFORE repossession and this company did NONE OF THOSE THINGS before taking our car away. Don't EVEN GET ME STARTED on their BOGUS extended service agreement that when you call the 24 hour roadside assistance, they don't take the call OR call you back to help you! This company should be SHUT DOWN along with Diamond Leasing/Finance!! They 'pretend' they are a different company than 5 Star, but they are NOT. They are in the same building, with the same phone number! Get it together 5 Star/Diamond Leasing/Diamond Finance/Treasa Turnbaug!!! You are the most unprofessional bunch of snakes I've ever come across in a business. The owner of this company should be ashamed of himself....DAN! More

Had my car over a week told me it was one thing when I already knew what was wrong with it. Diagnosed it incorrectly. I had a rental car over a week and still didn't want to make the situation right. Don't care about its customers or righting their wrongs! I wouldn't recommend them to anyone, not even if it was their only hope. More
DONT PURCHASE FROM THIS DEALERSHIP or their finance company Diamond leasing They are a complete rip off and they will take your money repo your car and they don’t fix xxxx very unprofessional and they company Diamond leasing They are a complete rip off and they will take your money repo your car and they don’t fix xxxx very unprofessional and they will make u so frustrated that you will be the bad guy in the end to them my car was stolen in November 2023and has been waiting on parts up until beginning of February the do not have a good communication system and everything is a joke they tried to stop my autopay to resale my car I will not recommend them to the alley rats in the city if you are in a rush and need a vehicle fast take your time and read your contracts between 5Star and Hyundai they take people situation as entertainment and I feel if they would have been more understanding and help the consumer the situation would of been better but instead they play in your face and think things are funny it’s not funny to me when I have been an on time paying customer since day 1 I also feel that by this company putting a tracking device on my car that bypass the alarm system 10/10 don’t recommend DONT DO IT More

My partner purchased a vehicle that had the check engine light on. The dealer said it was “a known, small issue,” and would be rectified upon picking up the vehicle, but did not do so. When this was brought light on. The dealer said it was “a known, small issue,” and would be rectified upon picking up the vehicle, but did not do so. When this was brought up, the dealer said the vehicle has to be brought to the manufacturer dealership under warranty. After doing so, we were informed that the vehicle has sludge in the engine. When we brought the vehicle back to 5 star, they refused to accept accountability for this error. However, the did let us know they flushed the sludge out of the engine and changed the oil twice, confirming the problem. After consulting with a lawyer, we were advised this case is likely to be risky/pricey in court, so I’m just reaching out to do what I can to warn other buyers!!! More
