As first-time car buyers, we visited this dealership to explore a few different models and understand our options. Kennedy, our salesperson, was excellent throughout the process. She was extremely accommodating with multiple test drives, patiently answered all of our questions, and never made us feel rushed. We truly appreciated her professionalism and calm approach. Unfortunately, our experience with the manager, Brad Scammell, was very different and left a sour impression. While he did offer reasonable discounts on the vehicle, his tone and manner of interaction were extremely unpleasant and overshadowed any positives in the negotiation process. As first-time buyers, we were understandably unsure and needed a few minutes to step aside and discuss our decision privately. The second time we asked for a few minutes to think, he responded, “I’m not moving from here, you can go out and talk if you want,” which felt unnecessarily pressuring. We were also cross-shopping with their sister location in Catonsville and had plans to visit them. Upon learning this, Mr. Scammell called the Catonsville manager in front of us and had him state that we would receive the same price everywhere. The way this was handled felt uncomfortable and added to the pressure rather than helping us make an informed decision. After two days of trying to decide, we ultimately chose to leave without making a purchase. On our way out, I asked a simple question about my trade-in value, and he responded, “First you make up your mind on whether you will buy a car.” As we were leaving, we also clearly heard him say, “f***ing waste of time,” which was extremely unprofessional and disappointing. Buying a car for the first time is already a stressful experience. Kennedy handled everything with patience and professionalism, but the manager’s behavior made the overall experience uncomfortable and negative. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as no customer should feel pressured or disrespected while making a major financial decision. We went ahead and purchased the same car from Catonsville branch, and the experience had night and day difference. I suggest any buyer to visit the Catonsville branch first if you wish to be treated like customers. More

If you want to have a good car buying experience you must ask for Kennedy. She was very attentive to my needs, was respectful of my time, and most importantly, she did not hassle me like typical car sales pe ask for Kennedy. Today I bought my fifth Mazda from this dealership and out of all the Sales person I have dealt with, Kennedy has been the best. Outstanding communication and makes you feel very comfortable and easy. Did out of all the Sales person I have dealt with, Kennedy has been the best. Outstanding communication and makes you feel very comfortable and easy. Didn't feel any sort of pressure, very easy to talk to and helped us walk out with the exact car we wanted and within our budget. She worked with you all throughout. Couldn't have been happier. I would highly recommend anyone who is interested in buying a car from Heritage Mazda Towson to book an appointment with Kennedy! You will not be disappointed. More
