Great experience buying a new Prius Bill Severance and all the folks at White River Toyota made buying a new car one of the most pleasant experiences I've had in any retail environment! Bill Severance and all the folks at White River Toyota made buying a new car one of the most pleasant experiences I've had in any retail environment! There's a genuine interest in the customer and an eagerness to help you understand the car you're looking for, in my case a Prius. Bill especially is kind and listens well, and I would feel comfortable calling him up any time if I have questions. And in a way I look forward to taking advantage of White River Toyota's immaculate service center. Everything and everyone about this place is top-notch. More

Waste of time and money I went to White River Toyota a couple of weeks ago to look at a Dodge Caliber they had advertised online. I did a lot of research and asked many quest I went to White River Toyota a couple of weeks ago to look at a Dodge Caliber they had advertised online. I did a lot of research and asked many questions about the car before I drove down there (2 hours away). I asked about the car being checked out by their mechanics and they said they did a head to toe check with it and there are no problems at all and it's ready to drive off the lot. Their confidence in their mechanics and in the car was very convincing. So, I decided to take half a day off work to drive the 2 hours down to check out the Caliber. When I got there it looked very nice and clean...UNTIL...I opened the hood to look at the engine. There oil all over the spark plugs (usually means a blown gasket of some sort). Then I drove it and the breaks were squeaking when I would stop. This car was not looked over by mechanics or if it was they did a horrible job. I told them that they would have to get the oil leak and the breaks fixed before I signed anything to buy the car. They drew up the purchase agreement (I didn't sign) then I drove 2 hours back home. 5 days later they called me and told me they're not going to sell me the car because it had too many things wrong with it for them to fix (the things I found, not their mechanics). I was livid for them wasting my time and money by advertising a car online to sell, while reassuring me that the car was looked over by their mechanics with nothing wrong and was ready to drive off the lot. NOT!!! Then Kevin Doyle (used car sales manager) told me "Do whatever you want, I'm through with you!" Wow, what customer service huh? I'll do everything I can to keep people from wasting their own time and money at this place. PS: I waited a couple of weeks before I posted this review because I didn't want to write it in the heat of the moment. Even after this time to cool down I still realized how awful of an experience it was and still wanted to make sure everyone know. More

In my case, several staff waved, welcomed me, and I was quickly connected to our favorite sales person Bill Severance. I was able to work with John Elliot, Kevin Doyle along the way as well. Every interaction was cordial. They responded to my questions quickly, and were very sincere. I never felt like a customer being sold a car, but instead like my friends were merely meeting my auto needs. I came into the store looking for a car for my son, and left with a great trade of my own car. Bill hung in and contacted me once a week for several weeks updating me on cars entering their lot. The first few were not a match, but Bill kept diligently searching and eventually directed me to a great car that literally was on the lift getting the Trademark - White River Toyota Used Car certification. I picked up my shiny used car a week later, Bill even shined the car as I waited, and helped address every question I had. Some places say they go the "extra mile," but White River Toyota went much further... If you want quality service, quality product, and that friendly sales staff that listens, and works for you, head to Sykes Avenue and see what White River Toyota and Bill, John, and Kevin can do for you. Went to this dealership where I have bought 4 Toyota's since 1994, Chris Killmer has been my salesman every time, would recommend him highly.Going to a family funeral on Saturday, Sept 14th, need Toyota's since 1994, Chris Killmer has been my salesman every time, would recommend him highly.Going to a family funeral on Saturday, Sept 14th, needed to get my oil changed before leaving, the service dept got me right in, the very nice guy who greeted me when I drove in, came out to the waiting area WITH the air filter from my car to ask if I wanted to change it as it had some debris in it. I replied that I've been out of work for 5 wks after surgery on my back, I didn't think I had enough in my checking to cover the cost. He went back out to the service area, 5 minutes later I asked him if he thought the oil change guy would use an air hose to blow the debris out given the filter wasn't in that bad condition. He replied I think so.... While they finished the car, I checked to see if I could buy the filter. Turns out I could, so I decided to spend my $$ there. The next morning when I changed the filter, it still had the same debris in it!! It wouldn't have taken more than 60 seconds to blow out the filter! Makes me wonder what the guy said changing the oil? Was it "screw him, he won't buy the filter so he gets what he gets?" Who's coaching these guys with customer service in that department? This was a real disappointment, to me it's the little things that keeps people coming back no matter what the business. Ed DeNike More

Carol and Kevin were great to work with. They were very patient as I tried to figure out how I would pay for my new truck. They even priced up several trucks to help me with my choice. Even offered custo patient as I tried to figure out how I would pay for my new truck. They even priced up several trucks to help me with my choice. Even offered custom leather seats as a price adder as Tacoma's don't have leather as an offering. I would recommned anyone looking for a car or truck to visit them, even if you're not looking at a Toyota. More

My man, Kevin Doyle was off that day unfortunately because I think Kevin is great person. The car we bought runs great! The overall buying experience was great! Chris Killmer even made the delivery from White River Jct. to South Burlington at our house. While at the dealership this past Sunday, Chris recommended a good Italian restaurant for us to celebrate our purchase inside Hanover near the new Hannaford grocery store. Our dinner was great, and my wife Sonya bought three lottery tickets at the nearby Hannafords which each turned out to be winners - covered our gas! Thank you for taking the time to deliver the vehicle to us and providing us with a great buying experience. My wife and I both have busy schedules and it was the holiday weekend which made pickup a challenge on our part - so thanks for delivering. Many recommendations coming your way and we will definitely do business with White River Toyota in the future! More
