Worst buying experience ever. I bought a used car. No warranty, but was assured it would go through a detailed 120(?) point inspection and would be a safe vehicle in good working I bought a used car. A tire had to be fixed because it was low on test drive and for the week following the purchase. The a/c was inconsistent with turning on. And 2-3 weeks after purchase, the check engine light was on which was a bad catalytic converter. After contacting them they did pay for the diagnostic to confirm the bad catalytic converter, and gave a slight discount. When I got the car back from that service, the receipt shows 2 other significant issues. If the mechanic could find these issues while inspecting the car after a repair, why couldn’t it be found on this detailed initial inspection before I took ownership of the vehicle?? The people in the service center were great but I should not have needed it to be repaired that soon in the first place. I will not recommend this dealership, ever. More

I brought my Subaru Forester in on a Monday morning in January for an estimate, Vanessa Timmermann was the damage specialist that reviewed the damage and was to send me an estimate for repairs. I did not hear back from her so one week later, the following Tuesday, I called her to ask if she had an estimate. She said she did but forgot to email it to me. I asked when I could schedule the repairs. Vanessa said repairs are only scheduled when all parts are in. I called a week later to check on parts and was told by Vanessa that the parts department had not yet located them. I asked for a list of parts and called Fort Myers Subaru. Immediately their parts department was able to tell me what was in stock and what would need ordering. They gave me an order number to give to Vanessa. That day, I called and left that information with her. It was still several weeks and no communication from anyone at Gettel Collision. I spoke again to Vanessa, was told they were still waiting on a washer reservoir from Fort Myers Subaru and that I should go ahead and call the to find out it’s eta. Having finally done nearly all the leg work for the repairs myself, my vehicle was ready to schedule for February 21, 2022. I dropped the car off with the receptionist and made my way over to Enterprise. I did not hear anything from Vanessa or any other Gettel employee until I called them over a week later on March 1, 2022, wondering where they were with the repair. The woman who answered the phone said the vehicle was going though the wash and ready to go. I asked if they had done the alignment that was required and told no. She would have the vehicle sent over to service and let me know when it was ready. I called again the next day and was told the vehicle was still waiting in service. Finally, on Thursday, March 3, 2022, in the afternoon, I received a call from a man representing Gettel letting me know my vehicle was ready. I went in the next morning to pick my car up. I was met by the receptionist. She communicated to Vanessa who was sitting around the corner unseen. All my communication took place with the receptionist. I paid my bill, got my keys, found my car and left. Vanessa wasn’t even courteous enough to poke her head from around the corner to say hi or thanks. After leaving Gettel Collision, I discover that after they replaced the washer reservoir and left it empty. I should never have had to do all the leg work, continually follow up with no communication from Gettel, had to remind them to do the alignment, left with no washer fluid and never thanked for my business. I can say, it looks as if the technician did a fine job. I would not likely use Gettel again nor recommend to a friend. Karen Hakes More
