Lacey embarked on her journey in the automotive industry following a challenging experience while attempting to purchase a vehicle of her own. Realizing that the process of acquiring a vehicle should be more straightforward, she eagerly joined the team at Ron Tonkin Chevrolet in April 2017. As a dedicated sales consultant, Lacey's primary goal was to assist our esteemed clients in discovering the perfect vehicle that catered to their requirements and brought them joy. Since then, she has transitioned into the role of finance manager, where she now focuses on guiding our clients in finding cost-effective solutions to finance and safeguard their vehicles. My car sales man Aldine (sorry if I missed spelled your name) was very pleasant and welcoming, he made sure I was satisfied with the car I wanted after viewing various cars. I had no intention of buying a car today, we was actually window shopping but after interacting with Aldine I had a change of heart and because he was very helpful and even took the time to show me some of the cool features in the car and for me that was a plus because my previous car sales man did not do so when I bought my first car in 2019. This was a typical bad experience with a car dealership, which is the reason people hate buying from them. They had two new Suburbans I wanted to look at, so I headed in to see them. Neither Suburban coul which is the reason people hate buying from them. They had two new Suburbans I wanted to look at, so I headed in to see them. Neither Suburban could be found, the first one because it had a dead battery and wouldn't respond to the fob. After locating that one (which I wasn't able to see because they couldn't start it), he attempted to find the second. Logan was able to locate it parked in their service department, which seemed odd for a new vehicle. It was in the shop because the fuel tank had been drilled on their lot and it needed a new tank. Not a great start. He then pulled the truck up to the front so that I could see it, where it ran out of gas since the tank had not been replaced and was still leaking fuel. I left from there and headed to Dick Hannah Chevrolet, where I had a much better experience. Upon deciding on the Suburban at Ron Tonkin, I explained that I didn't want the $3000 black wheels (listed on the sticker as a dealer-installed option), and asked that the stock wheels be put back on. I was told that the wheels were installed at the factory and they didn't have any stock wheels, but that they would take $500 off the price to "help me out". I still didn't want to pay $2500 for wheels I didn't want, and explained that Dick Hannah had offered $4000 more for my trade in. They finally agreed to match the trade in value, which was the only good part of this experience. I also asked that they remove the ELO GPS, which was a $600 upsell for a $15 part they use to locate their vehicles in the lot. They did remove it, but didn't replace the factory screws, instead leaving them in the center console. When I arrived on the date of sale, Logan handed me the updated price sheet, which removed the cost of the ELO GPS and updated the trade-in value. It also had two new costs, window tint and a clear bra, which were never mentioned before and added $1500 to the cost. I immediately started to pack my things to leave, and Logan went to "talk to his manager to see how they could help me out" and came back to say they would remove those charges since they weren't originally listed. I then purchased the truck and left. As I started with, this was a pretty typical story from a bad car dealership, trying to upsell unnecessary equipment and add charges for the equipment at the last minute. I won't be returning. I would like to add that Lacey in the finance department was extremely professional and friendly and was great to deal with. I've purchaed 13 fleet vehicles from 8 different dealerships over the past year, and Lacey was the best representative from any finance department I've worked with. More
