(If i coul, ill rate them, 0 out of 5 ) In September 2026, I purchased a 2026 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid AWD. During negotiations, my understanding was that we had agreed to an out-the-door price of $33,500. However, the final contract reflected approximately $45,388. After reviewing my paperwork, I identified several additional charges, including Zurich Shield ($1,495), Toyota Maintenance ($2,200), Tire & Wheel Protection ($2,000), Paintless Dent Repair ($1,095), and GAP coverage ($950). I subsequently requested an itemized breakdown, clarification of the charges, and cancellation of optional products. I also encountered concerns with financing. I understood that my loan would be assigned to one financial institution but later received correspondence identifying a different company. The contract provided to me did not clearly identify the lender, and I was not notified of the change beforehand. Following the purchase, I had to contact the dealership multiple times to request documentation, clarify pricing, and explore possible resolutions. Based on my experience, I recommend that prospective buyers carefully review all charges, optional products, financing terms, and contract documents before signing. My experience did not meet my expectations for pricing transparency, clear communication, or the overall purchasing process. More
