Non-slimy experience at a Camelback Subaru !! You know how dealerships won't let you LEAVE if you want to shop around?? Well, a month ago, we tried to buy a Subaru but at that time, our trade-in You know how dealerships won't let you LEAVE if you want to shop around?? Well, a month ago, we tried to buy a Subaru but at that time, our trade-in just wasn't going to work out. We went to 2 Subaru dealers. We still wanted that Subaru, so we went home that day and decided to try and sell our other car instead of trade-in. One dealership never contacted us again to "follow up" - but Lenny at Camelback called us from time to time to "keep in touch". He was NEVER pushy; NEVER slimy. He was just friendly. Well, when the time became right, we returned to buy our new Subaru XV Crosstrek from Camelback for sure. We ended up working with Tom Darby (Lenny was busy with another customer :). What a great guy Tom was to work with!!! ... very laid back, down to earth, realistic and not high pressure one bit. He made the car experience SO easy and comfortable. He was extremely knowledgable about cars - not just Subarus. This scored high for us because he didn't throw all other brands under the bus like most car salesmen do. And there is nothing worse than a dealer pushing a car onto you no matter what it takes. Neither Tom, nor Lenny did this which is a major reason we would go back to this dealership. Tom actually "let us buy a car" rather than "sell us a car by pushing it down our throats". They sold a lot of cars that day while we were there and now we see why. Lenny and Tom got to split that deal and we LOVE our new Subaru !!! More
