Dealership was listing a 2018 JCW Mini Convertible on February 23 (on Cars.com). When I clicked the Confirm Availability button, I was contacted by Mr. Rodriguez that yes, the vehicle was available, and February 23 (on Cars.com). When I clicked the Confirm Availability button, I was contacted by Mr. Rodriguez that yes, the vehicle was available, and I set up an appointment to view it the next morning. When we got there, we were told by Mr. Rodriguez that someone from Maryland had called just before closing the night before, and put a deposit in on the vehicle. When I asked to view the car anyway, since we had driven an hour to the dealership, he told us that the car had been moved to CF BMW to be sold. We were frustrated, and stopped at CF Mini down the street to voice our frustration. The manager on duty quickly confirmed that CF BMW did not have the car, and after a couple more calls, determined that the car had been sold (by CF Mini) on February 14. Apparently, the online inventory system had not been updated after the sale, and Mr. Rodriguez did not actually "check the lot" until we had arrived at the dealership. There was no "buyer in Maryland", and no movement of the vehicle to CF BMW. Next time, maybe just admit that a mistake had been made, and don't compound the situation with a string of white lies...very disappointing experience. More
