I reached out to Champion Porsche Florida to purchase a 2019 Porsche Cayman listed online. I reside in Dallas and have owned several Porsche vehicles over the last 20 years. After my initial phone call with Marco Guerrero early on 11/3/2025, we exchanged emails to agree on a discount of $2,200 off the $55,900 price to offset shipping fees. I was preapproved through my bank with no trade-in - a straightforward transaction that could have and should have been completed in one or two calls. Communication rapidly deteriorated. Despite repeated efforts to finalize the sale, Marco only communicated sparsely and sporadically via email or text. I was consistently redirected to voicemail and never received return calls. I could not get the simplest questions answered - such as clarifying how he was going to send the promised paperwork without knowing my lender information! By Wednesday, after multiple failed attempts to connect and a missed promised return call, I requested to escalate the matter to the sales manager. Nick Trulio assumed the process. I was promptly sent a sales breakdown that reflected an unexpected $1,194.50 fee for their paperwork to sell the car. When I baulked, Nick's demeanor abruptly shifted. He lectured me about his competing priorities and implied I lacked the gratitude for his attention. He even told me my frustration with the process was poorly placed as I should 'start over' since he was new to the negotiations. At no point was I attempting to negotiate an unreasonable deal. In fact, had things been handled differently from the beginning, I would have paid fees based on the merits of the car. However, by this time in the negotiation, after encountering a striking display of arrogance combined with a complete disregard for the customer experience - marked by wasted time and a sense I was an inconvenience rather than a valued client - I ultimately declined the purchase. Respect and professionalism are fundamental to a successful transaction. The disappointing experience ruined what should have been an exciting purchase. There are plenty of other places to buy a car and I can assure you, I will take my business elsewhere. Karma, after all, has a way of balancing these things out. More
