After 17 years with my 1996 Chevy 1500 WT Pickup, 5 speed manual (the last of the "stock" manual transmissions), it was time for a new truck. Our salesman, Mark Conrad - a 13 year Bob Bell employee - showed us the 2014 Silverado 1500 Crew Cab 4x4 and we went for a test drive. WOW! You really don't know the "feel" of a new truck until you had an old one for 17 years! The quiet interior, beefed up suspension and towing package, and the options, make this truck something to look at. My wife advised me to look at the 2013's for a fair comparison. Mark said he had a 2013 in stock with the same color style as the one I test drove and it had the Vortec engine that I liked in my old truck (1996 was the year GM introduced the Vortec). After a little dickering with my trade in price for the 1996 truck and the "walk to the manager's office", we agreed on the 2013's rebate offer and the fair trade-in value. The money we saved allowed me to get options installed on the new 2013 Silverado 1500 Crew Cab and still walked away with savings in my pocket. I enjoyed talking with Mark Conrad. He answered all of my questions, educated me on the new 2013's features and gave us a good comparison between the 2014 and 2013 models. He lent me a new Chevy Cruz for a day while the service department installed my option package. The truck was ready for pick up at the exact time Mark said it would. I can't give a rating on the Service Department but my wife never had any problems with her 2007 Malibu serviced at Bob Bell. This makes our fourth vehicle bought at Bob Bell in our lifetime and we are very satisfied with our choices. Mark Conrad is a professional salesman and family man, who never pressured us into buying a vehicle. He made this "Baby Boomer" very happy with the 2013 Silverado. Thanks! More
