We stopped in for service on another Jeep vehicle and spoke to Mark about coming back at a later date to look into purchasing a Jeep Wrangler. After several weeks, we returned and we reviewed our prefer spoke to Mark about coming back at a later date to look into purchasing a Jeep Wrangler. After several weeks, we returned and we reviewed our preferences with Mark. He worked to find an vehicle in the area and found one on the lot that exceeded our wishes and was within the price range we were willing to spend. We returned in three days and went through the procedure of purchasing the vehicle and arranging financing. We were very pleased with the whole process and the staff at the dealership. The dealership is close to where my wife works so service will be much more convenient than travelling farther to save a few dollars. We love our new Jeep and look forward to travelling many miles... Mark Pillsbury has a descriptive email about a mis-hap I had while waiting for financing, as I was not happy with how everything went down. All of my stress and issues could have been avoided. I also wa had while waiting for financing, as I was not happy with how everything went down. All of my stress and issues could have been avoided. I also was not given gas in my new vehicle as promised. Not 100% happy with the whole process of buying a car through your dealership. Everyone was nice, but follow through and explanation of time and process would be welcomed by customers. The easier the process, the better!!!!! More

we walked into the dealership with the intention of just test driving a mini van. Mark spoke with us regarding why we needed/wanted a minivan to make sure it was suitable for what we needed/wanted. He was test driving a mini van. Mark spoke with us regarding why we needed/wanted a minivan to make sure it was suitable for what we needed/wanted. He was very professional on the test drive and answered any and all questions that mu husband or I had. If he didnt know the answer, he told us that and looked to the appropiate source to find us the answer. When we arrived back at the dealership, we sat down to discuss numbers....which was not in our plans. But when Mark "gave: us the numbers we saw that buying this mini van then was actually the best way to go. From the finance department to sales, everyone was very acccomadating and always had a smile. Mark made buying a new vehicle easier than we thought with almost no bumps in the road. I would recommend Mark and dealership to my family and friends = and already have :) More

I was actually hoping this dealer would be great, since it's been highly recommended on this website. My experience though, was far from great. First off, they flaunt the high rating on this website wi it's been highly recommended on this website. My experience though, was far from great. First off, they flaunt the high rating on this website with a huge banner in the showroom. "Highest Rated dealer in Connecticut for this, this, and this." I guess I'm OK with this, since not everyone reads this site... but it's a pretty low tactic to sell cars. I walked in on a Thursday night and was greeted by Mark. My first words out of my mouth were "I'm looking for a new commuter car. I'm interested in the Dodge Dart, and I'm not ready to commit to anything today." I did his walk-through of the dealer, sat in the Dart in the showroom, and took one for a test drive. Before I left, he tried to get me to commit by putting a down payment that night, after I specifically told him I was not ready to commit. <<-- Strike 1. Before I got home, (I live about 10 minutes away) I had already received an e-mail from Mark saying it was nice to meet me, etc. OK, not bad, he's being friendly. Part of our conversation before I left that night was about figuring out exactly what I wanted in the Dart. I replied that night detailing what I was looking for. The next day (Friday), while I was at work, I received 4 phone calls, 3 e-mails, and 8 text messages from him throughout the day. I wasn't exactly available to talk while at work, but I did reply to one of his text messages. He found something that was similar, but not exact to what I was looking for. He sent me the window sticker via e-mail, called me, and texted me asking me if I received it. I'm OK with persistence but, it was already starting to get out of hand. On my way home I was finally able to talk to him via phone. Magically, the rebate for the Dart increased by $1000 overnight and he "talked to his manager" about reducing the amount to put down to commit to buying from $500 to $200. I already told him the previous night I was not ready to commit, but apparently he didn't get the message. I told him again I wasn't ready to commit. <<-- Strike 2. That night (Friday) I received a phone call from a phone number in Norwich CT that I didn't recognize. 860-373-7225 was the phone number. I didn't answer it, but instead I decided to do some research on Google if anyone had any information on who it could be from. I found out it was a 3rd party survey company doing a survey on Putman Chrysler Dodge Jeep Kia. I was livid. I try my best to protect my cell phone number and private information. I did NOT GIVE THEM PERMISSION TO USE MY PHONE NUMBER TO GIVE TO A 3RD PARTY. I received 8 calls from that number over the weekend before I blocked it. I hadn't even bought a car and they were already looking for survey information? Absolutely ridiculous. <<-- Strike 3. After all of that, I e-mailed Mark my frustration about the 3rd party survey company. I told him I didn't give you permission to use my phone number in that way. While he was apologetic, he proceeded to tell me that every dealer uses 3rd party survey companies, and that I'd be receiving survey calls from anywhere I went. I went to a total of 4 dealers within the past couple weeks. None of them were as pushy as Putnam Chrysler Dodge Jeep Kia, and NONE OF THEM USED MY CELL NUMBER TO GIVE TO A 3RD PARTY SURVEY COMPANY. The dealer I eventually chose to do business with actually had me sign something that stated they would NEVER USE MY INFORMATION in such a way. In summary: If you like pushy salespeople looking to pressure you into a very fast sale, and like to get phone calls from 3rd party survey companies, then this place is perfect for you. I however, don't like being pressured to commit, especially after I told them I wasn't ready to do so. I especially didn't appreciate them giving out my phone number without my permission. And to presume that all dealers give out phone numbers to 3rd party survey companies to help the owner and managers know how they are doing, they are so wrong about that. How about make your sales determine customer satisfaction? If a customer is happy they are more willing to buy than not. More
