​I am leaving 1 star across the board because your dealership broke a verbal agreement made during my purchase, which resulted in my family being stranded in Boardman, OR for 13 hours. ​I bought a dealership broke a verbal agreement made during my purchase, which resulted in my family being stranded in Boardman, OR for 13 hours. ​I bought a 2018 VW Tiguan with over 100k miles and zero maintenance history. I told the salesman directly that I would NOT buy the car unless a specific list of 100k mile maintenance items like spark plugs, ignition coils, fluids, and filters was completed before I signed. If he had not agreed, I would have walked away and bought a different car. I made the mistake of trusting his word and did not get it in writing. He assured me it would be done, but your service team skipped the entire list and only did a basic lot inspection. ​A month and a half later, the vehicle suffered a breakdown on the highway because of a failed ignition coil, which was the exact part I explicitly required to be replaced. My dad had to drive all the way from Oregon City to Boardman to pick us up, haul the car to Baker City, and then drive all the way back to Oregon City just to get us safe. When confronted, the salesman blamed miscommunication and the sales manager claimed ignition coils are not normally changed, completely brushing off the verbal promise made to get the sale. ​Because we broke down hours from home, I had to pay an outside shop to get us safe. Management refused to take full responsibility and only issued a partial reimbursement of roughly 75%, leaving me out of pocket for a massive ordeal caused entirely by your team. I cannot trust a single word from your sales or service staff and will never recommend this dealership. More
