I came with my family to get a Kia and Marques took care of us, which I initially thought was going to be a good thing. When I test drove the vehicle I was looking to purchase, the vehicle had no gas a care of us, which I initially thought was going to be a good thing. When I test drove the vehicle I was looking to purchase, the vehicle had no gas and he instructed me to go around the building as he was concerned it would run out of gas, so I never got a full test driving experience. At first he seemed genuine like he wanted to help, but seems like he is like any other sales person... just trying to make a sale. He offered to bring the car next day as the detailer had already left for the day which was very kind, but moments later he decided it was too far of a drive and said he would run a vacuum in it. It was one of those things where hindsight is 20/20, cause in the moment I went, ok? but I just made him money and he could not even drive a brand new detailed car to me to drop off next day due to inconvenience? I had already put down a larger down payment than I originally was hoping to, but the hidden fees kept coming. I have worked in the car industry for 3 years now and have a network of individuals that work at various car dealerships that say, the license plate cost is covered under the lease since the car is in the leasing companies name. But, nonetheless in my downpayment cost I put down, somewhere in there it did not even cover the license plate and stickers! I live farther away from this dealership but they had the car model I was looking for at a special end of year rate, so I made the initial drive. I was done fighting with the dealership, I paid for the license plate and stickers, I asked that it would be mailed to me, spoke with Marques, and he said he would charge me shipping costs too and once he heard my displeasure with yet another cost, he offered to drive it over but told me he would not be available until a month out and he would have to look at his schedule (with my temporary plate expiring in less than a week) and call me back. Well, he never called me back, never returned the voicemails I left, no reply and I eventually asked to speak with the GM who did nothing with me and shluffed me off, to the point my father who has been working in the car industry for 50+ years and knows the Ganley's had to make a call to the GM where he then comped the $6.95 shipping. This is merely out of principle and shameful that this was even a discussion that had to take place with this amount of frustration. I find it incredibly rude, disrespectful, and sexist that these "men" were unable to deal with business with the woman that has her name on the car and spent money with them. Marques refused to take care of a potential returning kia customer once the lease was signed and off his lot, and has greatly deterred me from wanting to have another experience with kia. It really shows that once he got the sale, he washed his hands. He also at the end of me signing the papers, asked me to write a review, he asked for my phone to pull up this website (dealer rater), and he tried to write his own review on my phone! I stated that I was capable and find that incredibly disturbing he was going to decide how my experience was. I write this now as my lease will be ending this year and I will for sure not be renewing a lease nor financing a car from kia again if I can help it! More
