BEWARE of shady tactics. After agreeing on monthly lease payment with, supposedly, only tags and first month payment upfront, they tried to add $3400 more on fees. A few days later they kept calling to nego payment with, supposedly, only tags and first month payment upfront, they tried to add $3400 more on fees. A few days later they kept calling to negotiate a better deal. After another consent, salesman Marv texted agreement to sign for 39 month lease instead of 36 month as was always discussed. Oh. An “honest” mistake. Next he sent itemized breakdown to me of all money due at signing: DMV, documentation, and first month payment. Lo and behold, when my husband went to pick up the car, finance guy Alan said he owed ANOTHER first months payment in addition. When my husband enlisted Marv’s help, he agreed with Alan. So all was charged to credit card. When I found out and called Marv and sent him a text of his breakdown, no response, of course. Spoke to Alan who wouldn’t charge back the extra payment. Why? It was a credit card! Finally agreed to revise monthly payment and send new lease the next day. Week goes by, no new lease. More calls and texts to Marv and Alan the following week. No calls returned. Worst Hyundai experience after 10 years of lease negotiations at other dealerships. Stay away!!!! More

I barely ever write reviews except when I’ve truly got a strong opinion about something and this is one of those times! It is my greatest pleasure to leave a review for this car dealership. First of all,it strong opinion about something and this is one of those times! It is my greatest pleasure to leave a review for this car dealership. First of all,it doesn’t matter who you talk to, they are all extremely nice and courteous. I have 2 kids who have been treated regally by different members of this team. I will break up this review into different parts so that you can understand why I am so impressed and highly recommend them: 1) Cleanliness: I have entered a lot of businesses and the clean fresh smell of this dealership keeps me going back. If I’m to sit in a room/place for more than a few minutes, I’d rather it be clean. They get a 100% hands down for cleanliness. 2) Friendliness: This is not the overfriendly gross salespeople friendliness that makes one want to throw up. These guys are actually extremely friendly! I mean, I’ve noticed their gentleness with babies, children, their respect of the elderly and all that walk into that showroom. I’m not American and have always thought of American friendliness to be a little wanting but these guys make me glad to live in this area! 3) Professionalism: I have never been more impressed with the level of professionalism of these fellows. Go and see for yourself! The truth is, they are trying to sell you a car but they do so with dignity and integrity it feels like. This is my second car here and I refuse to go anywhere else if they carry on this way!!! 4)Time:Their respect of one’s time is very admirable. I was there with 2 young kids and every person I met made sure I knew how important it was to them to get me out quickly for the kid’ sakes. Even the kids were treated like humans. 5) Price and value: I’ve driven a Hyundai for over 3 years and I love it! I got invited to lots of other brands but the hyundai just drives well, at least in my opinion. It makes me feel really safe, especially with kids. The price was great and they were willing to work with me. 6) The people: When you get to Central Avenue Hyundai, look for Peter Hernandez! I promise you, you will make a lifetime friend. He is smart, kind and really cares about the reason you walk in there every single time. The icing on the cake is that he has patience that you do not see often. That young man deserves a medal of sorts! I make sure to go on days that Peter is around. Some notable mentions: Andrew, he gave me a lucky penny for good luck just because. I mean who does that. He is always extremely sharp looking and has an instant smile. Marvin, remembered us from 3 years ago and made sure to stop by and greet the kids. He wasn’t even working with us but took the time. Hassan, he’s the one my 7 years old called ‘good looking.’ After I got over that particular embarrassment, I had to admit that his open and graceful manner was as good looking as any. Jeff: Older and wiser. Jeff gave me very respectful gentlemanly and wise advice without trying to con me into taking anything I wasn’t ready for. Jeff is the kind of man you wish your kids have as a grandfather! ‘John:’ I’ve called this gentleman (Maximo), John for 3 years and he’s never corrected me. He just flashes a smile and shakes my hand in a truly lovely fashion. What can I say? It takes a real person not to snap at another for calling them the wrong name the 5th time in a row :) There are many others that I forget their names now but I assure you that they really are worth writing such words about. For someone who barely ever writes reviews, I’ve written a heck of a lot but go see for yourself! More

Very disappointing experience! I had an extremely disappointing experience at this dealership for many reasons. The salesman was friendly at first, until we started to negotiate the I had an extremely disappointing experience at this dealership for many reasons. The salesman was friendly at first, until we started to negotiate the price of a used car I was interested in. I didn't like that they added around $1500 in additional "fees" to the on-line listed price, beyond the standard tax, title, and registration fees. It made what appeared to be a good deal, not so much. Before we started to negotiate the salesman put a posted note with a number on it, on his desk and said someone had just "called" about the car I was interested, and referenced that "call" later on as well. I knew right away this was total BS. After being on the market for nearly 3 months, I seriously doubt that someone just happened to call before 10am on a Saturday when I happened to show up. What was more concerning was that, after I pointed out that there were two open recalls on the car, based on the Carfax, he insinuated this had been taken care of. I took him at his word, and after a good hour of back and forth we agreed on a price. We arranged for him to take the vehicle to my mechanic the next day, just down the road for my peace of mind, then he said they would be updated the inspection sticker, and I would be on my way. Again, the recall was never mentioned. It wasn't until I put the VIN# in a national data base that night, that I found that the recalls were in fact not taken care of. I also noticed that they calculated the tax incorrectly, inflating the price by a couple of hundred dollars. The next day, I asked to speak to a supervisor to go over the fact that I would have purchased this car and driven it for years with two open recalls, had I not did my HW the previous night. They made excuses about this "oversight", which I was not satisfied with given the fact that their shortcut was coming at the expense of my personal safety. They also acknowledged that they had put the wrong zip code to calculate the sales tax. Was this incompetence or on purpose, to add a little extra profit to their margins? I'll never know. Either way, I wouldn't do business with this dealership ever again. On a different website, their first many ratings were mostly in the 1 star range, then the ones that followed were almost all in the 5 star range. I find this highly suspicious as well. More
