Your daughter’s boyfriend came in to look at a vehicle that had been sold but was in the same price range of the vehicle he ended up purchasing. He is an adult and has the right to make these decisions. We are not here to tell someone they should not purchase a vehicle. The financial institutions (banks) we work with are the only source able to tell a person yes or no and according to the banks he qualified to purchase the vehicle and he chose to do so. Regarding the used vehicle you purchased in 2018, the F-150 with 15,959 miles was brought in on 9/25/2023 due to a coolant leak and A/C not blowing cold. This vehicle had been driven 59,387 miles since purchase and yes it needed repair, but not unexpected for a vehicle this age and mileage. I would say that is pretty good! The 2015 Ford Explorer had 151,655 miles on it when purchased. High-Mileage cars typically have more wear and tear and may require more frequent repairs or maintenance than lower-mileage cars. The vehicle now has over 180,000 miles according to our service advisor, Mary Jo seems to be in good working order. What I did find while researching the repair history on the Explorer, is your repair on 4/22/2021 for the steering gear should have been under the 90-day repair program for all used vehicles. I will have my office send you a check on Monday for $1,431.60. I apologize this was not caught during your visit. I can see why the advisor thought it would not be covered as the purchase was on 18th but according to our records it was not finalized until the 25th so we still had 3 days remaining on the claim. It would be great to have you correct the overpayment on the ford explorer. The F150 was brought back after it was smoking (I’d assume that Maryjo told you that) because a clap was incorrectly attached and fell off. That was concerning per the initial post. You are 100% accurate he is an adult. Lesson learned. Full retail Looking forward to seeing the refund.
