I decided to replace my 2019 Subaru Outback with a larger SUV. I drove all of the competitors. The Chevrolet Traverse was fine, Honda Pilot was ok, the Toyota Highlander was ok but the VW Atlas Cross Sport SUV. I drove all of the competitors. The Chevrolet Traverse was fine, Honda Pilot was ok, the Toyota Highlander was ok but the VW Atlas Cross Sport was very nice. I am a fan of German designed American built cars. The makers of Mercedes and Audi know what the average driver wants in a VW. Chris and the sales team were perfect! They were no pressure, friendly, happy and VERY knowledgeable. I recommend this group highly. I drove the 2.0T and the 3.6 versions of the Atlas. I also drove a front wheel drive and an all wheel drive. There was zero turbo lag in the 2.0T and zero torque steer in the front wheel model. You need to drive them to appreciate what I am describing. The Atlas is very comfortable to drive. The controls are German in look and feel. The inside is huge! This was what I needed. In my work I am in my vehicle all day long. I will be working out of the Atlas Cross Sport. It is the perfect size for me. By the way, I now own two of this model. One Atlas SE all wheel drive and one Cross Sport SEL all wheel drive. I personally only buy all wheel drive because of the safety it offers in all weather conditions. If you need a VW, Leith Cary VW should be your first stop. More
