Good people. Very informative. Answered all my questions I hate car buying. I was told these guys would understand if I said I would rather break larger rocks into smaller rocks. I came in on a Wednesday and dealt with a s Matt, Christine and Chase turned a VERY unpleasant experience at Volkswagen into a much better experience. I came in on a Wednesday and dealt with a salesman named Steven Z., whom at first seemed friendly and professional but over the course of our interaction, he did some odd/rude things. At first I was test driving the 2019 Jetta R-Line and I asked my spouse if he wanted to test-drive it too and Steven immediately told us that he couldn't because he didn't get a copy of his driver's license, instead of saying "Sure! Just let me get a copy of your driver's license too". Then during the test-drive, he made my spouse sit in the backseat while he went on the drive with us, not a huge deal but it made my spouse feel like he didn't get to experience the car himself and like his opinion didn't matter. Then when we went inside to talk numbers, my spouse asked Steven if we could have a minute to talk privately, at which point he told us "no" and explained how he didn't want to spend all this time going over numbers with us if we weren't serious about buying and if we wanted to continue the conversation we would need to sign something saying I was agreeing on the monthly payment he had presented to me. Throughout the entire thing he kept stressing over the fact that they were closing soon (in about an hour at this point) and made us feel very rushed. The worst part was the dishonesty and deceitfulness where he told us he was going to get another car for me, "but it was the exact same car and everything, it just was a different car" since we were haggling over the monthly payment amount. When I asked why he was getting a different car, he said "it just didn't have the premium floor mats and stuff so he could bring it down about $1000 to meet the monthly payment I wanted". This didn't sound right to me, so I told him I wanted to see the car I was buying and he got annoyed and explained how they were closing soon but if I insisted, we could see it. We went outside and it wasn't even the same model at all! Different model, different interior color and didn't have all of the same features! At this point I told him this was NOT the same car and he said "you're SET on the R-Line?" and I told him "yes", to which he responded "well this just isn't going to work out" then proceeded to tell us to wait outside while he went back inside to grab the keys to my trade-in. We weren't even invited back into the building! We left very baffled and upset with our entire experience with Volkswagen. The next day I received an email and a phone call from Chase Cornett, Director of Sales. He wanted to hear about my experience and wanted to see what he could do to make it right. He was incredibly polite, respectful and listened to my story of the day before. He was mortified by what I had dealt with and wanted to earn my business back. He found a way to get my monthly payment to where I wanted it and assured me if I came back in, I would only deal with him or his most seasoned salesman. I agreed to go back in the following day. Upon my arrival, Chase was busy but had us meet with Matt Hansen and Christine Bracken. Both of them also listened to my experience and were so baffled and shocked themselves. They walked us back through the whole sales pitch in much more detail and with much more patience. They never once made me feel pressured into buying anything I didn't want (they didn't make me feel pressured into buying anything at all actually) and seemed to be completely transparent throughout the whole process. I found them to be funny, easy-going and very comfortable to work with. Matt was meticulous in making sure everything was accurate and easily identified a few discrepancies in the paperwork that was given to him from my first experience and quickly corrected it. If at any point I had a question about the vehicle that they didn't know, they would find a source that would give me a definitive answer. I even asked about if the car had remote start, which it did not, but Matt looked it up to see if ANY of the Jetta's had it, which they currently do not and then he even went on to see if VW had plans to add this feature to the Jettas in the future. I was very impressed with the thoroughness of both of them and they really turned a bad experience into a better one. I would go back to Volkswagen in the future, but only to Matt, Christine or Chase since THEY have earned my business and I believe in returning to those that deserve it. Thank you Matt, Christine & Chase! I'm loving my brand new Jetta and am thrilled to be sporting it around town now. :) More
