Honda of Libertyville resolved the issue with my battery. Matt, the general manager, offered to give us a free battery although we paid for extended warranty that included this. My battery has been failing and I've called Honda Care to jump start a number of times. When the AAA person finished, he shows me that we need a new battery. I took the car into Honda Libertyville to repla jump start a number of times. When the AAA person finished, he shows me that we need a new battery. I took the car into Honda Libertyville to replace the battery under warranty and they said that I didn't need one. I brought the car home and it failed again. I've been a Honda customer for 40 years with Pauly Honda. I'm seriously considering selling this car (not to Honda Libertyville) and buying a different car. This organization is that bad. More

I want to leave this review for New Car sales at Libertyville Honda. Please note that previously they were Pauly Honda and they were good. Now as they renamed, things changed. I wanted to purchase 2 Libertyville Honda. Please note that previously they were Pauly Honda and they were good. Now as they renamed, things changed. I wanted to purchase 2024 HR-V on Aug 12, 2023. I called them, spoke with Miguel, who claimed to be their sales manager, and found out that they had one in stock for the color I wanted. While over phone, I double checked the MSRP and spec. We agreed on price and I explained that I do not have time to negotiate in person. We negotiated and agreed on price over phone (clean MSRP with no EPP addons etc.). Miguel asked me to talk to Joel C., when I come in. I stopped by within 1hr of our phone conversation to purchase the car. As I got in and met sales Joel C, he had no idea about the phone conversation with Miguel. Red flag for me, but I let it slide. I re-explained my discussion. To sum up: 1. The car on the lot was not the car we spoke on the phone. It was a more specced version and about 2k more expensive This is called Bait and Switch. 2. The deal was not honored. The sales manager added $3,000 more on top of MSRP and didn't want to go down to MSRP we agreed previously.... at all. Never provided transparency to price. The negotiation process was shady as xxxx with some papers furled at me showing monthly payments, that made no mathematical sense or relation to car's actual cost. At some point the guy asked what difference does it make to pay the same monthly payment for 72 months vs 60? Haha.. 3. Completely wasted my time for over 2hrs. I walked away. Do not waste your time. The disgusting bait and switch process. Lying sales manager. Dishonest place. Additional 3k on top of MSRPs. Stay away from buying a car at Honda at Libertyville... More
