Good service department I have purchased four cars from this dealer, and I have always received first-class treatment as a buyer. But even more importantly, the service depar I have purchased four cars from this dealer, and I have always received first-class treatment as a buyer. But even more importantly, the service department has and continues to be first-rate. I recently took in the van I bought for my disabled sister, and the service manager Mel took personal care to see that everything was taken care of properly. We needed a strut replaced, and it was covered on the used-car warranty we got with the van. There was NO charge for part or labor, just as it should be. Plus, Mel and the other service personnel, including the shuttle driver, are always very friendly as well very competent. More

First class professionals and I just them. I had a not so pleasant experience at the Honda dealership in Des Moines. Decided to drive to Ames and was rewarded with customer service and my car was fixed. Good service unit, so-so sales department After living in Ames over a decade and having to fix/service my cars numerous times, I have to say that the service guys in Honda of Ames have my trus After living in Ames over a decade and having to fix/service my cars numerous times, I have to say that the service guys in Honda of Ames have my trust now. They are professionals and know what they are doing. The sales department is a different story. I bought three Honda cars during the last ten years, none of them at Honda of Ames. There prices are inflated, the offers on trade-in cars are laughable, and they are not in a mood for serious negotiations. So I had to buy my cars (used and new) in other Iowa dealerships, and I expect to do the same in the future. More
