Greg, thank you, I just received your response regarding our car buying experience. So you know this was the second time we had first tried to buy a car at the Boulder dealership and been put off by the experience. That said we live in town and do get service at your dealership (in fact will be doing so tomorrow). We came in looking to trade our car in for another used
car. The sales rep, Michael, was scrolling on his phone the while we were looking at vehicles. When we brought up looking at another vehicle, we were

When we brought up looking at another vehicle, we were told that it was a “significantly higher cost than the one you are looking at” implying that it was out of our price range even though we had not discussed any number. We were asked over and over again(probably a total of 10 times) if we were going to buy the car today. We repeatedly told them that we would like to get numbers on our trade in and then sleep on it over night. Went it came time to get a value for our trade it, we were told that they would give us a value “when we knew what vehicle we actually wanted”. We asked what made him think we didn’t want the vehicle he said “well you aren’t going to buy it today”. They told us that it was policy to not evaluate a trade in if the customer isn’t committed to buy the vehicle that day.
