I was interested in a Ford Escape that this dealership had for sale. It was going to be a vehicle for my parents, they had two requirements for the Escape, AWD and Bluetooth. I talked with Mike and explained that I was very interested in the vehicle but I wanted him to verify bluetooth and let me know if there was anything else that he noticed. He said that he test drove it and it had bluetooth and he didn't notice any issues, which was great. Once I confirmed this with Mike I placed a deposit on the vehicle and set up an appointment to have it inspected at a Ford Dealership. I wanted to make sure it would be a great vehicle for my parents, especially since we would be driving about 4.5 hours to pick it up. The Ford dealership inspected it for us and gave me a good review, except the battery and axle seal. However they did tell me that the Escape did not have Bluetooth, which greatly disappointed me. Unfortunately if I would have known this previously I would have not wasted the money to even have it inspected. My biggest frustration is that I paid for an inspection on a vehicle that was supposed to have Bluetooth and even specifically asked Mike, the salesperson, specifically to verify it. As a follow up I contacted Mike about this frustration of it not having bluetooth and the cost of me paying for an inspection. Fortunately we did not make the 4.5 hour trip to buy this vehicle and then discover it didn't have bluetooth. Mike said he would talk to his manager about assisting with the cost of the inspection, but apparently there is nothing they are willing to do about this. I would only hope that in the future they would take ownership of mis-information to a customer. More
