To prevent falling victim to predatory dealership tactics, I called the next morning, Saturday, August 22, and spoke to salesperson Miles Miltenberger. I explicitly told him I was driving 2.5 hours—a 5-hour round trip—and that traffic might cause a delay past 1:00 PM. He re-confirmed this exact Certified 2024 Subaru Outback Touring was on the lot and assured me the delay was fine. This was a calculated, fraudulent misrepresentation designed to lock in an illegal bait-and-switch scam.I arrived at 1:40 PM after a 150-mile road trip, only to be told the vehicle was suddenly gone. The worst part of this unfair trade practice wasn't just the lie; it was their arrogant, predatory attitude. Manager Dana Goodman called me with absolute smug satisfaction, weaponizing my 40-minute traffic delay to invent a fake corporate policy. He claimed they 'had to relinquish the keys,' yet when directly pushed to comply with consumer transparency, Dana Goodman completely failed to provide a bill of sale to prove the transaction actually occurred. He fabricated a fake surgery-style appointment rule on the spot, smirking over the phone while actively trying to gaslight me into thinking I was at fault.They knew I was traveling a massive distance.
