I purchased a used 2018 Nissan Leaf on Thursday November 16 from Alex. I drove up to Brunswick from Jacksonville to close the deal with a commitment that the dealership would deliver the car to my home. Dur 16 from Alex. During my brief test drive the vehicle drove and handled as expected. Two drivers were sent to deliver the vehicle to my home. On the way they charged twice, despite the delivery being 84 miles and the vehicle stating that there were 111 miles of range after my test drive in Brunswick. When I received the vehicle, there was an error notification that read 'Service EV, Power reduced' and a highlighted "turtle" on the information display. That was NOT present on my test drive just over 6 hours earlier. I have been in contact with Alex my salesman who recommended I take my vehicle to the nearest Nissan dealer, citing that the battery is still under warranty. I drove the vehicle once since taking delivery, hoping the error condition would clear and the vehicle is unable to accelerate, taking well over 30 seconds to get to 50 mph and is virtually undriveable. I reached out Monday on 3 separate occasions to speak to the General manager or someone else who could address my issue. The young lady who answered the phone communicated that she shared the information with the used car manager and I have yet to receive a call back. I simply want to speak to someone to help me get this issue resolved. I gave notification that there was an issue, minutes after I received the vehicle and prior to driving a single inch. The service on the front end was good. My experience post purchase has been disappointing. I want to be clear that I do not fault the young ladies who made the delivery, unless they failed to disclose any issues they experienced with performance, while driving the vehicle to my home and even then they may be unfamiliar with what to expect from this particular model. More
